I wanted to take a moment to update you all. I haven’t been uploading recently as I’ve been going through a challenging time. Last year I experienced psychosis and have been focusing on my recovery since then.
I fully intend to return to posting, but it will take a couple more months before I’m ready. I appreciate your patience and support during this time.
I'm working on a new video coming at the end of this week Don't worry, I don't have plans on abandonning the channel; I love you guys too much to do that I just needed time to recover from burnout and psychosis
Have a good one <3
Edit: Delaying the video till Monday for extra polishing
Edit 2: Medication and stress is making it impossible for me to reach the deadline, I'm sorry but I have to set in another delay till Friday
I'm not happy about it, but I promise you I am doing my absolute best; It's also best I prioritize my mental health and avoid unhealthy crunching
Edit 3: Another deadline push till saturday/sunday
so... i went through some serious mental problems last few months... i guess you could say i had a mod life crisis 😅 however, got help and feel much better video dropping soon™
I've been seeing quite a lot of negativity surrounding Starfield's release. While most of the criticism I've seen is completely valid (this game has clear issues, lol), I can't help but feel that it's been getting slammed harder than it deserves
As someone who studies game design in uni, I've seen some pretty big improvements to their overall gameplay loop, and I definitely think it's Bethesda's best game game play wise
Now, it's important I mention that I am heavily biased. I love Bethesda's formula, even if it is very dated by current gaming industry standards
Sometimes, it doesn't just work, but I've honestly been having a blast playing this game. Perhaps a big part of people's disappointment stems from how it's been marketed as a space exploration game when it should've been marketed as a game where you travel to different planets talking to interesting characters
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, of course. I simply wanted to share mine and hear what you guys think!

Additional thoughts on what they've improved, so I can back my opinions on facts and logic rather than everything being subjective:
Skyrim and Fallout 4 's gameplay systems (crafting, perks/skills, ) did not feedback into each other. And while they were alright systems on their own, a great game lets these systems talk to each other for maximum congruence. Starfield has gone an extra step to ensure they do.
Unlocking perks now gives you challenges to work towards which is a great way of both protecting players who might spend perks early on and regret it down the road, but also incentivizes further playtime with that playstyle. Furthermore this sentiment is echoed in their research bench systems as you don't just dump resources into it and call it a day. You'll need perks which again feeds back into the gameplay loop. This is where I see people start to realise there is so much more depth to the game, so really do try researching and building outposts. It is addicting!
And while I can't say for certain as I still need to sink more hours in, it feels to me like you are not hamstringed as hard for not wanting to participate in these systems. Where on the other hand, Fallout 4 was notorious for shoving the settlement building system down peoples throats.
They incentivize diverse playstyles as well. For example, you can't even pick pocket or get the stealth meter dectection right off the bat. These mechanics have to be unlocked via perks and heavily encourages replayability with different playstyles. Persuasion is a massive improvement as well and they have massively improved dialogue and relationships you can build overtime with companions imo!
Those of you with sharp eyes might have noticed a little mistake I made in my last video...
Truth be told, spending time with Mowek Eeds has lead me to be somewhat "distracted" lately. I uh mentioned a deal in my advert... 😬 when it had uh already expired 😅! I know, very silly of me indeed.
However, I've managed to procure an exclusive offer with Apex Gaming PCs to hopefully make up for my silly blunder!
What causes the low res ground texture (Some areas of land seem to have a very low resolution, this is because they still display their LOD texture and the normal texture has not popped in yet)

Just wanted to say that I'll still be covering Skyrim mods in my usual format every month
But I'll also be releasing content for Starfield as I'm really enjoying the game!

The answer will surprise you.
