World Champion Jaismine Lamboria in Jammu to meet her mentor
Indian Army boxer Jaismine Lamboria recently won the gold medal in the 57 kg category at the 2025 World Boxing Championships held in Liverpool, England. In what is widely considered the toughest weight category in women’s boxing, Jaismine beat world-class boxers from Ukraine, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Poland en route a historic gold medal. Boxing pundits from all over the world complimented her on her mental toughness and her ability to stay calm in pressure-cooker situations. But very few people know the secret behind her mental strength: her motivator Vickrant Mahajan who hails from Jammu, and this Tuesday, she was in The City of Temples to dedicate her gold medal to her mental trainer.
Jaismine said: “I can clearly divide my sporting career into two halves: before meeting Vickrant and after meeting Vickrant. I was always considered a talented boxer but somehow success always evaded me. I would lose in early stages of big-ticket tournaments or at best win a bronze medal. However much I tried, I wasn’t able to convert my potential into performance. Then one day, my friend Arundhati Choudhary, who is a former youth world champion, introduced me to Vickrant Sir when he came to NIS Patiala for a workshop. I consider that the turning point of my life.”
Setting massive goals and staying focused on them became the central element of their partnership. Goalete is the name of the program they jointly embarked on, and she joined his motivational platform for athletes called the Goalete Club. They used to have daily sessions where they practised unique techniques for mental strength. Besides, she read two of his inspirational books “Goalete” and “Goal Is Gold”. The latter especially had a profound impact on her life, and it introduced her to the biggest ingredient in her toolkit: goal-setting.
“After we started working together, my career just took off. I used to be very low on confidence earlier but my performance and confidence started improving tremendously and so did my achievements. I qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics, was adjudged the best boxer at the national championships, won gold at the 2025 World Cup in Kazakhstan and became the 2025 world champion. Such has been his impact on my life that he was the first person I called from Liverpool after becoming the world champion.”
Reflecting on her achievements, Vickrant said: “Becoming a world champion is just the beginning of her journey. Together, we have set a goal of becoming a multiple world champion and multiple Olympic champion, and thus setting a positive example to the Indian sporting ecosystem of what one can achieve if one becomes a goalete and sets massive goals in life. So, the way I look at it, Jaismine’s journey has just started.”

Airtel’s fight against fraud reduces financial losses for its customers by nearly 70%
Data from Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center shows remarkable impact
Jammu, 16 September 2025: Bharti Airtel today announced that its anti-fraud initiatives have resulted in a significant decline in cybercrime complaints, and that this has been further endorsed by recent information from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) — Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
According to the MHA-I4C, there has been a staggering 68.7% decrease in the value of financial losses and a 14.3% drop in overall cybercrime incidents on the Airtel network, thereby validating the efficacy of Airtel’s fraud detection solutionin curbing cybercrime and creating a safe network for its customers. The data analyzed by MHA-I4C compares key cybercrime indicators from September 2024—prior to the launch ofAirtel’s Fraud & spam detection solution—with those from June 2025.
Commenting on the initiative, Gopal Vittal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Airtel, said, “We are on a mission ofeliminating Spam and financial frauds for our customers. In the past one year, our AI-powered network solutions have identified over 48.3 billion spam calls and blocked 3.2 lakhs fraudulent links. However,we see this as small steps in a much larger fight. We will continue to innovate and invest heavily in this area until our networks are free of digital spam and scam.”
“The impact shared by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) - Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) encourages us tremendously and validates our efforts in this mission. I would like to commend the MHA I4C and DoT for their initiatives to curb spam and fraud and we will look forward to collaborating deeply with the authorities to eliminate the threats of cyber-crimes & frauds.”,Vittal added.
In September 2024, in a pioneering move to curb the country’s spam menace, the company launched India’s first network-based AI-powered Spam detection solution. It went a significant way towards solving the growing menace of spam calls and messages. The solution remains a first-of-its-kind solution by a telecom service provider in the country, to alert customers in real-time to all suspected spam calls and SMSes. In continuation to this, in May 2025 the company unveiled world’s first, solution that detects and blocks malicious links across all forms of communication on its network, in real time. This safe service has been seamlessly integrated with, and auto-enabled for all Airtel mobile and broadband customers at no additional cost. The findings of the I4C analysis highlight the effectiveness of these proactive measures by Airtel for its customers.

The Summit featured a wide range of high impact sessions on contemporary policy challenges and legislative practice, including AI use inside legislatures, cybersecurity, state budget planning, building voter trust, housing innovation, transportation infrastructure, health policy trends, and international trade and development. Raju participated actively in sessions such as “AI Use Inside the Legislature: What’s the Latest?”, “Smart Strategies for Transportation Infrastructure”, “Legislative Decision-Making”, and “Spotlight on Housing: Innovative Answers to a Growing Crisis.”
Highlights of the visit & key experiences

Visiting iconic institutions like MIT and Harvard, and engaging with Indian origin leaders, further broadened our perspective. I am profoundly grateful to NLC Bharat and its visionary Founder, Dr. Rahul V. Karad, whose commitment and initiative made this opportunity possible for so many of us. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for selecting me as part of this important delegation his trust allowed me to bring these insights back to Ramban. His efforts to empower legislators through such capacity building programs are truly commendable.”
