The most popular scanner for listening to Air Traffic Control etc seems to be the Uniden Bearcat UBC-125XLT handheld Scanner they cost around £120 new including delivery off Amazon or other shops , its great to be able to hear pilots talking to Air traffic control etc ,
Please Watch my video on how to use ARC125 Software to put frequencies into a Uniden 125 Scanner, ( so much easier to use ARC software than twiddling the knob on the scanner backwards and forwards to put in 1 character / letter at a time , it will save you a ton of time and effort ) please watch this video I made : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKu7g... from 3minutes48 I show how to type a frequency in, from 9mins I show how to send the file to the scanner, also read the info under the video on Youtube.com explaining I can provide hundreds of frequencies on a file I can send you by email that goes into the scanner using ARC125 Software saving you having to do this ( saving you having to type in hundreds of frequencies so again I am saving you time ) Anyone can install ARC125 Software on a Computer it’s not hard to do .ARC125 Software is very cheap and well worth every penny . The trial version only lets you edit 1 bank so don’t be a cheap Buy the full version its only about £20 I think. bank 1 is RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall
bank 2 is RAF lakenheath
bank 3 is London Heathrow, Mach loop, Woodbridge and Airlander air ship,
bank 4 is Air displays, Nato, Conningsby, Riat Royal international air tatoo at Fairford
bank 5 Riat, Fairford, Brize Norton, Swanwick, B52, Patroille de france, Red Arrows ( Red Arrows is very funny to hear when displaying )
bank 6 is London Gatwick, Birmingham, Scampton
bank 7 is Manchester
bank 8 is RAF Marham
bank 9 is London Stansted and Luton
bank 10 is Cambridge and Duxford air shows etc

You can edit out anything you dont want to make space for where ever you intend to go to, by trying to keep airports in separate banks it makes it easy to lock out all the banks you dont want when you are somewhere ,otherwise you spend all day locking out frequencies that get detected that you don’t want to hear eg your at Mildenhall but Heathrow keeps coming through . ( so for example you can easily only listen to 1 of the banks you need) find lists of frequencies online, eg www.military-airshows.co.uk/freq.htm make sure theyre up to date as they change all the time! & if you need I can add any frequencies you give me to the file if you fail to learn to put them in yourself, that extra service will be £25 for up to 1 hour of my time., if you’ve given me what will take longer than that I will inform you how many frequencies ive managed to programme so far in one hour & you can decide if you want me to do more.
