We need to abolish divisions in football (US only), hockey, and baseball
They let shitty teams make the postseason, leaving out teams that have a better record because they happen to be in a stronger division.
If winning your division didn’t matter, you could win your division and still miss the playoffs.
The NBA already does this. They kept the divisions, but winning it doesn’t guarantee a playoff berth or home field advantage. The actual stronger teams are the ones that get it.
Other leagues that have divisions should do what basketball is doing.
