大家好!THANK YOU for participating my last survey! I just posted a video addressing four evidence-based memorization methods that can help us in memorizing Chinese characters. If you haven’t watched it yet, feel free to check it out:)

My last four vids are all about helping learners get through the very beginning phase of learning characters. I think I’m pretty much DONE with this series. If you have any questions regarding character learning, please comment to let me know:) I’ll consider making vids for your questions in the future🥰

Hey friends,
I am finally back!! I have been struggling to get back to YouTube. I miss it so much. My current goal is to be consistent with my video uploading. I will be slowly reaching consistency in the next two months (FROM uploading a video every 2 weeks TO once a week).

I will be uploading a new video at 10 AM , Thursday, September 1, 2022, Eastern Time (ET).

In this video, I want to share with you some better ways to express thankfulness other than simply saying "xiexie". Hope you guys enjoy it and find it helpful :)

Found this book at an antique store. Published in 1946 in Chicago. Pinyin system we use today was not implemented in this book. Traditional characters. Beautifully written. Super cool to see a Chinese teaching book from almost 80 years ago🤓

Hello friends! Your daily dose of characters is here ~

The shared radical in the latest poll is "sickness" radical 疒, 5 strokes in total. Characters that have this radical all have something to do with disease or sickness. Here are some common ones:
疾病 /jíbìng/: disease. Both characters use 疒 radical.
疼 /téng/:pain, ache
疫情 /yìqíng/:epidemic. The first character use 疒 radical; the second character meaning condition doesn't use 疒 radical. We usually use this word now to refer to the covid pandemic.
症状/zhèngzhuàng/:symptom. The first character uses 疒 radical.
瘫痪/tānhuàn/:paralysis. Both characters use 疒 radical.
