New Comics 9/25
Purr Evil #6 - series finale
Hello Darkness #3 - entertaining horror anthology
Hell's Half Acre #1 - based in Nashville in the early 1900's. First issue was kind of a mess but will keep reading.
The Amazing Spider-M*n - Nate McDonough Comic
The Kindlin' Quarterly Fall 2011 - great anthology that is hard to track down issues of. Picked it up for the early Nate Mcdonough stuff inside
Spectrograph #3 - excellent ghost story
Violator #1 - worst art in a Spawn comic to date
Spawn Kills Every Spawn #3 - meh

9/14 Weekend Mail Deliveries
Grixly #1 - seriously can't believe I was able to find and grab a copy of this. Only 100 printed back in 2009! Unreal to have a copy with strong provenance.

Seven Years in Darkness: Year Two #2 - The title switch between Vol 1 and Vol 2 of this title ensured that I missed the first two issues at my local comic shop. It's basically Harry Potter but almost all the students die.

9/11 New Comics
The Pedestrian #2 - still bizarre and fun

Misery #4 - this series and the finale was a complete disappointment after being teased for years. It left the story (stories?) unfinished with plans to revisit it later

Scorched #33 - backstory on the female Haunt. Entertaining.

New Comics 9/7
Rust Belt Vol 4 & 6

Rust Belt Review Vol 6 is out now! And is a phat 140 something pages. I particularly liked David D. Caldwell's piece on Porno Dan. The comic shop it is based on, The Great Escape, is the same chain I worked at. Valerie Light's "How to Walk" was a fabulous examination of womanhood, growing up, and stunningly illustrated. The second half of Matt McFarland's take on modern dating for an older gent wrapped an entertaining and uniquely illustrated story. Everything was great but that doesn't do it justice.

AND

All the Rust Belt Review Anthologies have been reprinted!!!! SAY WHAT?!?!? These early editions were nearly impossible to track down. If you have any interest in modern adult comics. These are a fantastic jumping off point that will introduce you to a wide variety of artists, themes, and ideas. Rust Belt feels more grounded in real stories than many Anthologies. It has meat on the bones that many others lack.

Wanted to do a video on the most expensive single issue new comic I've purchased. $20. But it showed up polybagged inside a bubble mailer. I hate any comic that loses the majority of its value just from being read once. Yo,‪@penguinz0‬ (this is a Moist Cr1TiKaL product), at this price point, these comics should be mailed out in something more substantial - like a Gemini mailer. The top right corner of every page is dinged up. And please drop the polybag gimmick, this isn't 1993. This kind of predatory marketing guarantees I won't review this comic or order any more comics from Bad Egg Publishing. The name says it all.

Got my eye on an upcoming $25 comic for the most expensive single new issue. We'll see if I can snag a copy of Dynamite Diva #4 The Engine Whispers by Jasper Jubenvill. Right now the preorders are sold out.
