My appreciation goes to God Almighty for thid golden privilege given to me to be alive and witness this year's IEC tagged Faith Adventure, Father, I return all the glory due unto you to you, no man will take your glory, because you deserve it 💪.
I will forever serve Jesus Christ till he returns or calls me home. 🖊️ *COMMENTARY*
This person and His power, whom Apostle Paul, a legal luminary of no mean repute, who studied under Professor Gamaliel, a first-class fearless religious fanatic and passionate murderer, desired to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection is what every right-thinking person must seek to know. He could not, but occupy himself with understudying Him and the power which, in a Jiffy, arrested, blinded and retired him from the law profession, ended his fanaticism and murdering might, turned him into a servant with many things to suffer for Him.

Satan has no power over you unless you give him that power. He has no authority unless you give it to him. Jesus did the final work, the finished work, to seal Satan's defeat. Now, it's up to us to live in that finished work, the work of resurrection power! Most Christians stop at the cross and don't take full advantage of all that Jesus provided. But you can! You can have every benefit Jesus died to bring you by settling for nothing less. This week, we'll be studying the different benefits and how you can live in resurrection power every day.

The resurrection power's ultimate purpose is for us to know that death is not the end. Man died because of sin, but God restored man to his original position through resurrection power. So according to our text today, as many as receive Him into their lives as their Lord and personal Saviour are now, sitting with Christ far above the devil and his cohorts.

As we receive Him, we enjoy some inestimable benefits of the ultimate power and His presence, which is the greatest asset on this planet earth.

🖊️ *COMMENTARY*
Welcome to this year's Easter season, a time when the whole world will be commemorating the vicarious suffering, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ, more than two thousand years ago, for the total redemption and salvation of all men who became sinners, depraved and devastated through Adam. Through the death and resurrection of Christ, those who believe in Him receive forgiveness and remission of sin, sanctification, justification, adoption into God's family, and glorification by God's grace.

In today's devotion, we want to look at one of the main reasons for which the LORD Jesus came into the world through the theological process known as "Incarnation"; God becoming man, Immanuel, to dwell among human beings (Matt 1:18-23). Our text clearly says that He came to destroy the devil's works. Satan has never been unaware of his fate, from the beginning that the LORD Jesus Christ as the Seed of the Woman would bruise his head, while he would bite His heel (Gen 3:15). This was why he vigorously fought to disorientate the LORD through food, wealth and inordinate use of His Messianic anointing during the Temptation (Matt 4:1-11).

His statement on the cross, "It is finished", pointed to the fact that He had accomplished all He came to do, including the destruction of the
works of Satan. Amazingly, the LORD gave the same authority to His disciples and, by extension, the authority to destroy all the works of the devil. It behooves all His followers to appropriate the benefits of His vicarious death through faith to both perform and receive miracles in His name. By His resurrection power, the work of the devil will never prosper in your life, as we celebrate the victory of the LORD over satan.

🖊️ *COMMENTARY*
In Mathew 16:17, based on this affirmative confession of Peter, Jesus said that flesh and blood had not revealed it but His Father who is in Heaven. Then Jesus told Peter that upon this rock, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The word 'church' was translated from the Greek word 'ekklesia' which implies the called out ones; it speaks of people who are called out by Jesus. They are those who believe in Jesus and serve Him. The believer is the Church and the gathering of the believers in a particular location (structure) is the gathering of the Church. It is not the physical building that makes a Church; it is the people that gather there that make it a Church.

The above shows that the church (congregation of believers) is built on the revelation of the word (Jesus) and because we are founded in Him, we cannot be moved or shaken. It is with this understanding that one fateful morning in 1834, Edward Mote, who later in his life became a Baptist preacher., while he was on his way to his workshop in Holborn, London. the words of a chorus came to his mind: "On Christ the solid Rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand." By the end of the day, he had penned four verses of what would become one of the most beloved hymns of all time.

Today, The Solid Rock" remains a timeless reminder of the unshakeable foundation we have in Jesus Christ. Through countless generations, this hymn has brought comfort, hope, and encouragement to millions of believers, assuring them that their eternal hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness.

Just as the hymn "The Solid Rock" has brought solace to many whenever it is sung around the world both in time past and in the present, our lesson today reassures the church that Jesus, the rock on which we stand, will never allow the devil to prevail over us. So the question is, is your life built on the Rock?
