📊 Big shift in UK public opinion. The latest data from More in Common (fieldwork May 1–4, 2026) shows a dramatic drop in Green Party Deputy Leader Zack Polanski’s popularity, pushing him well below Reform UK’s Nigel Farage.
Polanski’s net approval plummeted by 14 points in a single week, landing at -27, while Farage stands at -16.
What drove the drop?
The plunge follows heavy backlash after Polanski criticized Metropolitan Police officers for their handling of a terror suspect detention in Golders Green. Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley called the comments "inaccurate and misinformed," leading Polanski to later apologize for sharing the post in haste.
