If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by banking apps, investing platforms, or generic financial advice that doesn't apply to real life, you’re in the right place.
Technically Money covers the intersection of money and technology. From digital banks, savings accounts, and investing platforms to travel cards, eSIMs, and cross-border finance—we break down what’s worth using, what isn’t, and where the catches really are.
Our goal is simple: to test, compare, and explain the tools people actually use to manage their money. Everything is based on hands-on testing, clear comparisons, and plain-English explanations so you can make confident decisions faster.
New videos every week. No fluff. No nonsense. Just technically sound money advice.

Big update 👋
Monito is now Technically Money.
The channel has officially been renamed, same ideas, same content, just a name that better reflects what this channel has become.
Nothing else changes, and if you haven’t already, I’ve shared a video explaining why I made the change and what led to it.
Thanks for being here with me 🙏

Today I officially switched to Monzo! 🚀
I’m going to use it as my main bank for the next 3 months to see if it lives up to the hype. I'll be testing everything, including Investments and Cashback.
Any other features I have to try? Please let me know!

We haven’t talked about Monzo in a while, but they’re a bit of a dark horse with some serious super-app vibes. This week I’m breaking down what Monzo gets right (and wrong), because they’re definitely not perfect.
Before that video drops, I want to know: are you actually using Monzo right now?

It’s been over 2 years since Revolut launched Ultra… do you think it was a hit or a miss?
£45/€50 a month for lounges, insurance, eSIM data and £4k+ of subs like FT, WeWork & even Tinder Gold.
Jan and I just recorded a deep dive on Ultra, breaking down the perks, the fine print, and whether it actually makes sense in 2025. Episode coming soon! ^Jonny

Quick question for those in the UK… 🤔 Do you (or someone you know) have Premium Bonds?
I’ve been digging into them for an upcoming video (out today) and the numbers are scary... So I'm curious how many of you actually hold them? And if you've ever won? ^Jonny

Okay I have a question! If you could only use ONE travel eSIM provider for the rest of 2025, which would you pick?

Hey all 👋 Yesterday Revolut sent an email about fees that's confused a few people, and I wanted to help clarify.
They're changing their card transfer fees, but this IS NOT for topping-up. It's related to sending money from your Revolut account to a card. This is a rare type of transfer that I doubt will affect many people, at least not in the UK. For more info visit: www.revolut.com/legal/Card-Transfer-Fees/ - Thanks. ^Jonny
