UPDATE: As you may know, my USB failed a few months ago, so I had to restore all visuals for RTV episode 8, including not just the animation but all the character bodies. Now, I don't have all of them restored, but I have restored all the ones needed for the episode, so I should be able to restart the animation pretty soon. I wish I could've more this Spring Break but this was all I could do.

Happy 10 years of being in the OSC! I was going to remake the first episode of my first object show, Battle for Object Hotel, but unfortunately, I was still working on the new bodies so I never even got to start the animation stage.

Final update on the USB: Well, unfortunately, they couldn't fix it nor restore anything, so they told me I could take it to a specialist, but it's pretty expensive, and I'm not really feeling like spending more money anytime soon, so I'm just going to hold on to it for the time being. I'm pretty sure this all started because I removed the USB without ejecting it, so yeah, another lesson learned. At this point, I may as well restart the animation of RTV episode 8 and recover the character assets. At least I can make it better than it was before. As I said before, I planned on releasing another video, so I was gonna hold off on episode 8 anyway. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Just wanted to say even if I do get my USB back soon, I'm gonna put RTV Episode 8 on hold for a bit because there's another video I wanted to work on, and I wanted it out by a specific date early this coming year. So yeah, here's to 2025. It's been a rollercoaster this year.

Update on the post from yesterday:
The USB won't be fixed until Friday next week or after because the place I took it to will be closed until that day, and the new USB they ordered to restore my stuff won't arrive until then. So yeah, I don't know when the episode will be done, partially because I don't want to get people's hopes up, but it probably won't be this year.

Hey everyone. I've been trying to get RTV episode 8 out this year, but the USB drive I keep almost everything on, including my character assets and progress on animation, has randomly stopped working. I've tried everything I could think of to get it working. It might've been a power surge, but I will try and get it fixed tomorrow or recover all my files. If nothing works out, then it's okay, really. I still have my script (I use Google Docs), and I have a way to recover the character assets. The episode isn't even going to be that long, anyway. It's just ironic how much I've tried to get this episode out this year (partly because of college and all that jazz), and then suddenly, I've lost all animation. But yeah, I will try to recover everything from my USB and hope for the best. I've definitely learned something from all this: save as many backups as possible. Save it on a Cloud and Google Drive. Do whatever it takes to keep your stuff from being gone because you never know what'll happen. I wanted the episode to be out this year, but if all fails, some things just aren't meant to be. Just wanted to put it out there in case anyone's wondering.
