It is extremely slow with a 12s overhead because everytime you initialize it, it basically spawns Claude code in the background for every chat session. Not only that, you are basically vendor locked in to Anthropic models. They have no plans to fix it, and it’s painful for users. Switching to Vercel Agent SDK has been the best thing that happened to me in my life 😆🤪
Sure it might not have as many bells and whistles but depending on what you’re doing… it’s more than enough.
