Why do friendships take a backseat in a woman’s life?

Somewhere between building a career, chasing dreams, being a mother, a partner, a daughter… something shifts.

And slowly, unintentionally, friendships move down the priority list.

I say this as someone who was once incredibly social. I couldn’t imagine a day without meeting my friends.

Maybe it’s responsibility. Maybe it’s life. Maybe it’s just how things evolve.
But it does happen.

So this birthday, I did something about it. I brought together all my childhood friends: the ones who’ve known me forever, seen every version of me and we spent time together, just like old days.
