Thanksgiving 2018 I was in a women’s shelter (six hours away from family & friends) for battered women. Fast forward to the year 2024. I am working full time, married to the love of my life(we just celebrated four years of marriage), we have a healthy son together, and I have a relationship with my beautiful daughter.
