For most of my life, I was a night owl. My body wanted to be up at night time. Then I got into the trucking industry. When I drove OTR I would drive at night. It made the most sense for my long hauls that I did. Plus I loved being able to show up at a truck stop and have my choice of parking and not have to wait for a shower. I could get through any busy major town quick as can be.

When I started doing local trucking, I had to wake up really early. When you have four hours worth of driving to get somewhere and your load delivers at 8 AM you have to start that day early as can be. So a couple years of doing that I got in the habit of waking up really early. Now it’s just my natural rhythm to wake up at 5 AM. I love being up before the sun. I love watching the sunrise and watching the day begin. My natural rhythms have completely switched. I wonder if age has something to do with it also. I’ve always heard the older you get the earlier that you like waking up.

Whew. Y’all… I feel like a weight I didn’t even realize I was carrying has finally been lifted.

Telling the truth—especially a big, vulnerable one—is terrifying. But the freedom that follows? Unreal. I feel lighter. Brighter. Like I’ve cleared space in my heart to keep growing, creating, and connecting with you in deeper ways.

The love and support from you all has blown me away. So many of you have shared your own stories, or told me about someone in your life who’s walked a similar path. That connection? That’s what makes this worth it.

If you’ve already seen the video, thank you for watching and for holding space. And if you haven’t… just know it’s out there now. I’m finally stepping into a new chapter—and I’m not looking back.
