Today, 200 years ago, Byron Michigan was founded on the banks of the Shiawassee River.
The small village started as a small community, being the last stop on the stagecoach run from Detroit. Through the years, the town grew larger. The town reached a max population of 689 in 1980. After this, the population had a massive decline, now currently sitting at 531 as of 2022. Even though there aren't as many people as there used to be, the town still keeps a bright spirit. As the village turns 200 years old, it would be AWESOME to come see the celebration. Though today is already passed, and myself included missed what happened today, tomorrow the celebration still continues.
