These eyes may be weary,

3 Small Habits That Keep Me Going When I Feel Stuck

I have heard it said, “For any great achievement, you will always be tested.”
And one of those test is...
What you do when you feel stuck.

When you lack the motivation.
When everything seems to work against you.

These seasons used to keep me down for too long.
But I learned that staying stuck for too long is the beginning of danger.

So, here are the 3 small habits I use to get back up during such season

1. Reflection
I remind myself... How did I get this far? Why did I start?
I even tell myself, “It’s okay to quit”…
But then quitting mean I am not worth it.
Hafvy once said, “Dreams are free but reality has a fee.”
Me reflecting on that keeps me pushing through.

2. Searching
For times when my intrinsic motivation fails, I borrow extrinsic motivation.
I look at the lives of people I admire.
And seeing the challenges they overcame always reignites my drive.

3. Re-strategizing
If I have been stuck for too long, then maybe it’s time to change my approach.
I start again as if it’s Day 1 with a fresh research.
I have heard, “Don’t be comfortable where you are for too long and that it's either you're rising or dwindling.”

So, these 3 habits have helped me fight the resistance that comes with being stuck.

The Day I Almost Gave Up.

It was getting to almost 1 whole week... no new client was texting me, and my current clients weren't responding to their text message. I wasn't getting much visibility for my service.

Business just seems to look like a full stop.

I was totally idle and confused. I became weak...this market is a seasonal one, if you don't get clients now, till next year...What do I do??

Everything began to play in my head
"Startups that began and failed"
"People who never grew past a certain level"
"The thoughts of me never crossing the goals I had set"
"The thoughts that my plans are about to crash"
"What I built is about to fail"

I became weaker...is this how things would be?
If I continue like this, is this how my dreams would come to be?

Nope!
I refuse to settle for mediocrity.
Yeah, I am stressed, my mentality has begun to settle for less.

But my aspirations say Never!
You're not stopping here...

Hafvy once said...

So yap... I am gonna pay the fee.
I am going to restrategize...I'll try better.

My aspiration says to me.
Don't give up yet...you haven't failed.
You've only found another way that doesn't work.

I affirm that I will stay dedicated.
I will get up and start.
I affirm that I will use my guilt, pain, and fear as fuel.
I will let go of all limitations.
And I will keep on pushing through.
