PSA BLOOD TEST

The Prostate Specific Antigen Test (PSA) is a blood test used primarily to screen for prostate cancer in males. The test measures the amount of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in your blood. PSA is a protein produced by both cancerous and non-cancerous tissue in the prostate. After 45- 50 yrs of age this blood test will be done once in a year as preventive measures to detect and rule out prostate cancer.Consult with your family doctor for doing this blood test.
