Happy New Year, humans and animals alike. I figured today should be the day where I give some more updates on my channel and life in general. (Long post! TL;DR at bottom.)

First off, thank you for the engagement with my new LIVE YouTube and Twitch channels, which I have created to do more "casual" gaming stuff with my audience. I say "casual", but it feels like an extension of my sort-of career as a content creator. I think I should lighten up on the streams to focus on stuff for my main channel, most notably those Gex bonus videos and shorts. Not sure how I wanna change my schedule—maybe only two or three streams a week.

For my current projects, I am currently streaming FF6 to gather information and play around before I do the main channel playthrough. I appreciate talking with everyone live, even if I'm not the best at making conversation. This along with my new full-time job should help improve my social skills.

Progress on Digimon Adventure PSP has been slow lately, but the overall consistency of the streams has indeed helped me in getting the hang of Japanese. Anki hasn't been very fun, and I would rather play games in Japanese and watch Japanese anime, taking a few notes here and there. It seems to be working well for me.

As for streams after those, I really want to delve more into the monster taming genre. I'm deciding to stream myself playing monster taming games to increase exposure of those games for the sake of those who are frustrated with the sad state of Pokémon for at least the past 7 years.

If there's one thing that bothers me about Pokémon lately, outside of the games themselves, it's that there are many in the community who don't want to leave their childhood franchise, despite knowing in the back of their mind that it won't get better. I want these streams to give them the courage to try new things and get outside their comfort zone. I'm sick and tired of disgruntled Pokémon fans invading the communities of Palworld, Digimon, etc. and spreading vitriol and hatred. They just need to let their childhood franchise go. It's not like you would hate yourself if you let it go. In fact, the opposite might be true.

I could honestly talk about the state of Pokémon as well as its community of angry party poopers for hours, and I've even considered doing a stream where I just talk about that. Maybe I'll do that in the not-too-distant future, as Pokémon's 30th anniversary approaches. I'll make a poll for that later.

As for the monster taming games I want to play blind on-stream, Palworld is basically a shoo-in. It's the game that intensified the Pokémon disdain, not only due to the comparing and contrasting of the creatures, but it also sparked an infamous legal battle that painted Nintendo as a villain. (Yikes!)

I also want to try Medarot/Medabots. I had an interest in the series after hearing their awesome GB tunes. Most of the Medarot games are only in Japanese, so after I'm done streaming Digimon Adventure PSP, I'll use it for more Japanese learning. Also, hooray for the Medabots name returning to its rightful owner! Now the games can be localized!

Other monster taming games I want to stream include Cassette Beasts, Disc Creatures, Anode Heart, Abomi Nation, Beastieball, and Aethermancer. I figured it would be best to try all manners of monster taming and not just the typical RPG format. I may even consider a Megami Tensei game, but which one? (Let me know in the comments.)

Sometime down the road, I also am deadly curious about streaming the Bubsy games blind, considering his recent re-revival. After all, as a Gex fan, there's no escaping the association with Bubsy, so I have to give him a try. Who knows? Maybe I'll like it! What could possibly (paw-sibly?) go wrong?

Finally, as for the main channel, I have two projects I am working on simultaneously: Final Fantasy VI and one other game that fits what I just talked about… I will say, the latter stole a lot of my time; it was just so addicting to me, in a good way. Looking forward to telling you what it is.

To conclude, I want to thank you for making 2025 a fruitful year full of connection. I know the main channel didn't have much going on, but I hope to change that this year as my channel turns 5. (Where'd the time go!?) Thank you for taking the time to read my long post. Here's to a not-so-bad 2026!

(TL;DR) There may be less streams overall to focus on main channel stuff, more monster taming games on stream, curious about Bubsy, working on FF6 and one other project on main channel, hopefully the year doesn't suck for all of us, thank you.
