hi friends. i wanted to have a little chat and gauge your opinion on my content as a whole. i’ve been seeing a lot of things in my comments that i feel the need to address (or maybe i just have been too invested in my comments as of late… idk 😅)
i obviously make a lot of videos giving my opinions on the stardew dateables. maybe people are really protective over their favorite characters, which at the end of the day makes sense. a lot of people including myself love stardew and are attached to these characters. but if i ever have anything negative to say about any of them- most of the time it’s a joke or not really meant to be taken that seriously.
recently i made a video rating the stardew bachelors 14 heart events and in it i made a stupid joke about elliots saying “uh oh he goes on tour what kind of activities do you think goes on without you there ?!” and at the end of the day- it was meant to be a joke. by no means was i actually saying that elliot’s a dirty terrible cheater and that he should be hated.
now, i also understand that the joke wasn’t well received and i do apologize for it- its a joke that shouldn’t be made and i will be more mindful moving forward. however- my intentions were not to demonize nor garner hate for elliot, and thats never my intention with anything at all. i love stardew valley and i love sharing that love with you all and i do have opinions. some characters i like some characters i dont. but you shouldn’t hate anyone if i express a negative opinion and you also shouldn’t really take it to heart
i try to make fun and entertaining content, and sometimes that’s not always successful. a joke that i wouldn’t have thought twice about or didn’t think was a big deal could turn into something that makes a lot of people upset- and i really dont mean for it to be that way.
i also need to clarify- im not trying to rage bait or engagement bait or be dishonest in any sense. i genuinely just write my little scripts and edit my videos, i dont even look at analytics half the time. and i do need to take a step back and actually think about what i’m putting out and think more about the influence i might have on fans of the game.
because in my head- i’m just giovanna and i have a little tik tok and youtube account called lummi where i make silly lil videos for you guys. i don’t feel like a person that should have or does have influence, but the reality is that i do have influence and should be thinking more about what im saying and putting out.
im sorry and i will be more responsible- but i need you guys to know that im not trying to deceive you or push an agenda or spread hate throughout the community
and i would love to hear what you think about the things im putting out. am i being too aggressive or judgy or just stupid in general. if you read through everything, i appreciate you and would love to hear your thoughts.
thought i should share a silly funny stardew 1.6 happening.... popped down the cursed mannequin then went to sleep. heard a noise and woke up in my DRAWS. IT STOLE MY CLOTHES
