Day 15 of 30 Days Old Design Exports Post Challenge 🥂
Tool used: Figma
Mockup: Photoshop
About the design: I taught some students during the last cohort of the Get Skilled Bootcamp sometime ago and we created a food delivery mobile app called 'Julie Restaurant'. I named the app after a student who participated in the class. These are some of the screens here.
Let's talk - Pt 15
One thing that keeps you relevant as a creative is your ability to grow beyond your current skill. Staying in one spot for too long can make you comfortable, but growth often requires you to stretch into something higher and related.
If you already have a design skill, the next step is not to abandon it but to build on it. For example, moving from graphic design into UI design, product design, or even motion. These transitions expand how you think and increase your value.
The goal is not just to have a skill, but to keep upgrading it. Learn, refine, and evolve. That is how you stay ahead and create better opportunities for yourself.

As against my thoughts above, some persons insist on having one skill and mastering it solely. I think one skilled should be mastered, but you don't stop there! FOR YOU, WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGTS?

Day 5 of 30 Days Old Design Exports Post Challenge 🥂
Tool used: Coreldraw
About the design: Flyer for Zamfara Apostolic Invasion by Apostle Joshua Anthony.
LET'S TALK - Pt 5
One thing that slows a lot of designers down is comparison. You see someone’s clean layout, their colors, their consistency, and suddenly your own work starts to feel small.
But what you are seeing is their current level, not their starting point. Every strong designer you admire has a long trail of rough, inconsistent, and sometimes confusing designs behind them. The difference is they kept going when their work did not look impressive yet.
Instead of comparing, study. Ask yourself what works in their design and why. Then go back and practice. Growth becomes faster when you focus on learning instead of measuring yourself against others.
