Hey guys, if I could only teach ONE thing to every golfer, this is close to it. π―
There's A LOT going on in the golf swing. If you dive into the details like I like to do, there's almost an endless amount of things we could discuss.
But there are only a select few things I'd consider REALLY important to building the repeatable, consistent swing we all wantβ¦
And an even smaller group I'd consider "non-negotiable" for everyone.
In yesterday's lesson, I had a new student, Sean, came in looking to improve his swing. He wanted better contact and to reduce his pulls and fades.
You'll see the pieces I taught him THROUGH THE BALL that I'd consider non-negotiable.
If you deal with similar issues β inconsistent contact, pulls, fades β I'm betting you can benefit from these explanations, feels, and drills too.

Hope these help!

Hi everyone, Mary here. Something's been on my mind this week, and I wanted to share it with you directly. ποΈββοΈ
We just wrapped our August 5-6 school, and it was a great group... quietly focused, put their heads down, and got to work. Exactly the kind of energy we love seeing.
Now we're heading into the final stretch of our 2026 Woodstone season: August 19-20 and our last school of the year, September 2-3. Every one of these has been such a special group, and we can't wait to see what these last few sessions bring.
Once September wraps, Pennsylvania is done for the year. And we're already looking ahead to something we're genuinely excited about: our Florida season.
We haven't announced dates yet. But everyone who's on our Priority Access list gets the dates and registration link before we post them anywhere publicly.
If Florida's been on your radar, this is how you get first access.

Hey guys, if I had to point to ONE thing that's sped up my students' improvement more than anything else this year, it's INSTANT feedback.
Here's why it matters so much. When you're working on a swing change, you almost always have to exaggerate it at first to feel it. But most golfers have no idea if they're exaggerating ENOUGH or if they've barely moved the needle at all. So they keep hitting balls, hoping, without any real answer.
I've been using Swing Coach for exactly this. Whatever piece we're dialing in β open clubface, downswing path, shaft lean at impact β it tells me instantly if I'm in a good range or not. You get a CLEAR answer after every single rep.
This is the one thing that would make the biggest difference in your practice sessions. Immediate feedback after every hit really does speed up the entire process.

Hey guys, if you want more solid contact and tighter shot patterns... this is one piece you DON'T want to overlook.
Many many many golfers come see us at schools, private coaching, or online coaching with BIG issues around today's topic.
They simply aren't using their arms and hands correctly.
The three biggest pieces are:
A) Setting them up properly at address
B) Maintaining your width throughout the swing
C) Learning to rotate the LOWER arm against the upper to square the clubface
We spend A LOT A LOT A LOT of time helping golfers get these three pieces right because they lead to two things every golfer wants:
β More consistent solid contact
β More predictable direction and curve
In yesterday's video, Steve and I walked through all the details so you can make sure you've got these pieces right in your own swing.
WATCH THE FULL VIDEO BELOW π
I've taken plenty of lessons from Steve over the years to keep my own swing in check, and the concepts in this video are the same ones that helped me tighten up my ball striking, narrow my shot patterns, and keep my misses much closer to my good shots.
Ultimately, that's what leads to better golf.
Hope it helps you as much as it's helped me and thousands of our students.

Hey guys, what if you knew, within TWO SECONDS of every single swing, exactly what you just did right or wrong?
That's the real problem with practicing alone. You hit a shot, it feels off, and you have no idea if it was your posture, your axis, your downswing path, or something else entirely. So you guess. You try something different. You STILL don't know if it worked.
I've been using Swing Coach on the range this summer and it's completely changed that. Whether it's early extension, a steep downswing, an early release β whatever we're working on β it gives instant feedback and tells me EXAACTLY what happened and what to adjust. Not after the session. Not on the drive home. On the VERY NEXT swing.
That's the entire game right there. The FASTEST way to change your swing isn't more reps. It's knowing immediately whether each rep actually worked.

Hey guys, the range isn't where your scores actually change. Here's what is. β³
Tom, a 24 handicap working toward a low-teens goal, told us the moment everything clicked for him wasn't during range time at all:
"Ending each day by playing alongside the coaches was perfect. The on-course insights, coaching, and situational guidance provided another level of learning -- new context on how to approach a shot, a hole, and the round."
That's the piece a lot of instruction skips. You can hit it great on the range and still have no idea how to apply it under real conditions. Tom got both: the mechanics AND the on-course decision-making to go with it.
By day two, he told us he was hitting it so much better he'd lost track of how far his clubs went. Good problem to have.
We're down to our LAST FEW SPOTS for the entire Pennsylvania season. One spot left for August 5-6, and just a few remaining for September 2-3 -- and that's it for this year.
If you're chasing a real goal for your game, not just a better range session... this is the window: bit.ly/3RF9SCW

Hey guys, I believe every golfer needs to learn this. π―
It's where I start with EVERYONE, right after making sure they set up to the ball reasonably wellβ¦
It's the MOST IMPORTANT thing that leads to consistent solid contact and a repeatable swing.
Get this right and you'll build a swing you actually LOVE.
Did I make you curious? :)

I promise if you practice this, it'll help you a ton. I've done this exact thing with hundreds, if not thousands, of students over the past 20 years.
Hope you're enjoying your golf!

Hi everyone, Mary here. Just thinking about the week, and something stuck with me.
Monday we filmed, and it was the first time in three weeks we'd actually been able to. Between weather and Eric's back being injured, we hadn't filmed in a row like that in years. So we hunkered down⦠five YouTube videos, five Instagram clips, a long day.
For 10 years now, basically every Monday, we film. We don't usually have disruptions like that⦠maybe we'll purposefully take a break when we're moving between Florida and Pennsylvania, but not like this. Not since COVID, really.
And not filming those few Mondays really had an impact on us. It was weird. We were SO happy to be back in the routine of it.
That's what Mondays are to me. For 10 years, Mondays have been Eric and I filming. We joke that if we ever semi-retired and only kept doing Mondays, the business would still be fine because it's the most productive, most impactful day of the week. Everything else gets built on top of it.
You realize the power of consistency and routine in your life from the things you do every single day whether it's brushing your teeth, making your bed, or for us, showing up and filming those videos.
Grateful to be back in it this week. And grateful to all of you for giving us a reason to be there every Monday.

Good coaching answers three questions:
What needs to change?
How do I change it?
Am I actually doing enough?
That's why I'm such a BIG believer in Swing Coach.
It brings those same coaching conversations into every practice session.
You make a swing...
The app gives you FEEDBACK...
You make a small adjustment...
Then do it again.
It's the CLOSEST thing I've seen to having a coach standing beside you while you practice.
If you're serious about improving, it's well worth trying.
