Welcome to our YouTube channel! We’re a couple in midlife turning 40 acres of Arizona desert into an off-grid homestead and creating our dream one step at a time.

Together with our Pitbulls, Chico and Candy, we are slowly building our homestead in the desert. From making our own compressed earth blocks to solar power, water systems, DIY projects, and preparing to build our future home, we’re learning as we go and doing as much as we can ourselves.

Chico and Candy bring plenty of laughter and chaos as they explore the desert with us. We also share the wildlife, crazy desert weather, our travels, and everyday life along the way.
