i know there’s like 8 people that regularly watch my channel but i wanted to post an update since it’s been like a month and a half since i last posted here.
i’ve been making music really consistently for a few months now and i think it’s starting to catch up to me. my upload schedule in the last month alone has been anywhere from 2 songs a week to 2 songs a day, and i’ve honestly kind of been feeling burnt out recently. i used to spend like 1.5hrs/song on average but recently it’s taken me much longer to get started and usually 2+ hours/song.
i also feel like my songs have just generally not been as good. i’m still happy with what i upload, if i really don’t like a song enough i won’t upload it, but it kind of feels like i’ve just used up all my good ideas. i try as hard as possible for all of my songs to be unique from one another but recently they’ve started blending together and it feels like a sign that i’m going too fast.
this post isn’t to say i’m done making music or even that i’m planning to take a break, but my motivation has generally been down recently, so i might end up naturally not making any music for a week or two (or longer). i don’t think i’ll ever fully stop making music, but i’m just saying that if i stop uploading for a little bit, i’m not done with music forever, i’m just taking a break.
ok sorry for the word soup. TL:DR, i’m feeling a little burnt out and will probably take a break at some point in the next few weeks. but i’ll come back probably within a couple weeks
