It's that time of year again for me to recommend one of my favorite videos of all time: Twelve Hundred Ghosts by Heath Waterman in which cut 400 adaptations of Dickens' A Christmas Carol into one cohesive narrative. People who like what I do will love what he did. Enjoy!
I know the reduced output of this channel has disappointed some but expect more side-by-sides from me soon. Making these videos is a fun hobby of mine outside of my work in the film industry which has kept me very busy for the last few years. In the meantime, please enjoy this side-by-side of The Beauty and the Beast (1946/1978/1991) from another YouTube creator.
YouTube has demonetized my channel for "[using] someone else's content without making changes that add significant value." The appeal failed.
YouTube is still happy to run ads and collect revenue for themselves but I do not get to share those profits. I have a backlog of completed side-by-side videos to upload but do not plan on making any more for the foreseeable future. They will be released on the first of the month at 1pm Pacific Time until I run out.
I began the side-by-side series because I would often compare shots from different adaptations/remakes/etc and thought others may also enjoy doing so as well. Nearly one-hundred times, In a time consuming process, I curated those shots and packaged them for YouTube viewers to experience. My interest in adaptations, remakes, and movies depicting the same historical event will continue, it will continue off-line.
Thanks for your past and future interest. If you think this series should continue on other platforms, I'm open to your thoughts.
