Hi, l'm Anthony Galvan and l'm an adventurer. My passion is Arctic Winter Camping and Polar Explorer training.
Many of my videos are filmed in Arctic Norway. You can see my Arctic winter ski traverses, where l show you how's my day by day, l give you winter camping tips, and you'll see Arctic storms and how it is like to be in an expedition tent while having hurricane class wind outside!
l also do hiking videos, from Canada to Scandinavia and Scotland. My greatest hiking adventure has been hiking half of the "Great Divide Route" in Canada, and Sections E and G of the "Great Divide Trail." l've also done the "Nordkalottleden" in Scandinavia and many other hikes in the UK, like the "Cape Wrath Trail"...
l film my videos mostly with a Nikon z6. My aim is to create quality content that can be watched on a big screen TV. l try to make entertaining, engaging videos that will put a smile on your face.
If you like pathless, remote hiking and ski traverses, you'll enjoy my channel!

Hi dear adventurers,
Caroline & l successfully finished the full Great Divide Route!
As some of you know, last year we walked half (Kakwa to Warner Lake): https://youtu.be/TjsZCRIE2hE We had such a great experience that we decided to go back and walk it all going SOBO.
The hike didn't disappoint... we had an equally phenomenal and miserable time :-) Depending on the time of the day you'd ask, l'd lean towards one or the other end of the spectrum :-)
Anyway, on Thursday l'll be publishing a 'raw impressions' video we filmed a couple of hours after our completion of the hike in the gorgeous "Jarvis cabin." l wanted to convey our very raw impressions, before memory processing would start working wonders and l'd only remember the beautiful side of it.
Expect the video to be out on Thursday 1pm EST.
Please leave a comment and tell us what you think, what you liked, ask questions or say whatever that crosses your mind.
Thanks for your support!
Caroline & Antonio
PS: Hope you like the pictures!

Hi guys,
Tomorrow Caroline & l will be flying to Prince George (Canada) to enjoy our annual holidays and test ourselves on a pathless terrain in the Rocky Mountains. We're doing what some refer to as the Great Divide Route (GDR) which is the natural continuation of the Great Divide Trail on the north.
You can take a look at the approximate route we'll be hiking following the link below (*that's just for general directions, we'll see what the terrain has to say). l'll send a few updates here and there, but l won't be doing any 'tracking' (to save battery life).
l'll be carrying around 24kg (2 bear canisters!), including the weight of the backpack and camera gear. Not exactly lightweight, but l've seen worse (l carried around 30kg at the beginning of the Nordlandsruta in Norway).

Last year at Blueberry lake, after completing Section G of the Great Divide Trail. https://youtu.be/fdru1pdpQ_s?feature=...
This year, we'll be hiking the 'natural continuation' of the GDT going north. Some people refer to it as the "GDRoute," a pathless, bushwhacking, 200km ordeal that we aim at completing in 14 days.
You 'regulars' of my channel know that Caroline & l prefer to enjoy our days over doing high mileage and going lightweight. To give you and example, when l hike with my wife, l bring 2 tents (for safety and comfort). l have lots of gas that l use to heat up Caroline when she's soaking wet and miserable... stuff like that make her life easier and nicer while in the wild, and makes me very happy.
"To each their own." We also went lightweight in the past and found ourselves 'running' through the places. We prefer to sit down and take in the scenery, the feeling of the place but, for that, you definitely need more food and... patience ;-) (You also need the holiday time, let's face it.) There's no way l would've done low mileage days and contemplating the scenery being anywhere below 35. Again, it's a very personal choice.

I'm back from a 12 days solo trip in Arctic Norway. I had a lot of wind, and a bad Arctic storm during one long night. But l also enjoyed magical moments admiring the Auroras.
