Happy Thanksgiving, y’all! ‘Tis the day your tables are rather empty because The Food Fairy (me) ate it all up and left you a handful of nothings. Not even a darned crumb. I weakly celebrate the holiday apart from eating so much food I create a new type of diabetes per year, but in any case, I hope you all have a wonderful day.

On other news, Stranger Things 5 dropped last night, and dear lord, I’m over the moon. They absolutely killed it, especially with the Sorcerer episode (as expected) and Will’s arcs this season. The allegories are extremely dark but stronger than ever (those who picked up on a SA theming from the 5-minutes teaser: Vecna’s got some comments that double-down on it). It’s easily the craziest the show has ever gotten and I’m pumped to see the next two volumes.

On other-other news: new Goosebumps Spin-Master puzzles got utterly shadow dropped. Heard nothing about them since their announcement last year but they’re popping up on eBay now. I’ve got no comment on them apart from the blue one with a bunch of covers is kinda crap. Get ‘em if you see them; they perhaps might be at B&N, not sure where Spin-Master products are sold exactly.

On other-other-other news… I read the Frankenturkey books in preparation for today. They’re not very good. Yeah. Bonechillers are by default gonna fall flat/suck more often than not.

Anywho, hope you all have a great day once again, and I’ll see you guys in the next video which SHOULD be an episode review (I know, I know; ladies and gents, one at a time). See y’all 🤙

Goosebumps For Dummies

As of today, the Goosebumps movie officially made it’s theatrical debut A DECADE AGO.

I was six when this dropped. I only got to see it when the DVD dropped the following year. I recall getting the tie-in books at the Scholastic book fair, as well as some of the target editions for my birthday only a month before the film dropped. I’ve been collecting even before this movie released; my roots go as far back as 2013.

It’s baffling how this movie has shifted the course of Goosebumps history. It put Slappy at the forefront of the franchise, it revived the film industry for Goosebumps and made way for a sequel and two streaming shows (and more film stuff likely on the way), and essentially created a hype train almost as large as Goosebumps’s peak in the 90s during the movie’s promotion.

The Goosebumps movie has stood the test of time and I pray it’ll be cherished by future generations to come. Share the news of this film’s milestone, and give it a rewatch if you haven’t.
