I like to build things, and I wanted a reason to build bigger and crazier. Hope you enjoy my dumb projects.

I am making good progress on the 8wd mercury zero G but I realized that I am going to need to rethink how I power the heated bed. the Stock ender 5 plus bed (from what I can find) is around 450W, and runs at 24V DC, the stock power supply is a 500W unit. That does not leave enough headroom for the steppers I want to run, nor the number of toolheads. As a result i either need to get a second 500-600W 24v psu, a single 1000W 24V psu, or i swap to a 1000W AC bed and use a SSR. I am planning on using the stock aluminum bed, as much as I would love to replace it with the aluminum bed Fabreeko makes, its not in the budget. Hopefully someday I will swap to the hydra bed and replace the aluminum bed. A 4th option I just thought of but is very unlikely because It seems expensive would be to swap the mcu to a kraken board, and then add a 48v psu for the stepper motor power. This would likly still require a second PSU when I add all the toolheads of the tool changer

so i am rebuilding the formbot v0 and I got some LDO motors to replace the stock moons motors, but I am not sure if I should stick with the moons for now to later do A / B testing vs the LDO motors, or i could just go with the LDO motors and not care about the difference in performance

The latest update of the AWD Voron V0 series is going to be a bit delayed. Originally, it was going to be about the first boot and configuring the electronics, but it turns out that makes for a pretty bad video — basically just me clicking the power switch on and off a couple of times. So instead, I’m going to combine it with the next (and sadly last) part of the series: the first print.

I've been avoiding fixing my voron v0 by planning my next project because the one thing I need when a project gets slowed down, is a new project! Here's a little sneak peek at the cad for the next project, still needs a lot a work and will likely require a lot of revisions, but the plan is to have this running this summer

Big changes coming soon, moving to a different place and having to dis-assemble the elegoo almost completely. I'm tempted to try and convert it into some sort of enderwire or LH stinger, but nothing is decided. Sadly I forgot to film disassembling the elegoo. The v0 is still not working, the raspberry pi I have seems to not want to recognize the btt pico, it's been quite frustrating, with both printers down all I can do is cad and plan, might do a CAD design Livestream if there is interest

So I got the parts for another pico mmu half because I wanna run it in parallel with my other 3 lane pico and half because I got bored and had leftover bearings.

I'm wondering what type of guide/explanation would be best to make, let me know your thoughts in this poll:

The Neptune 4 for a new toolhead along with some other bits and Bob

I wanted to give a little peak at how the Neptune is looking now as this is taking a bit longer than I expected, finally got the problems that were blocking me fixed and am excited to get the full video out
