My video ‘Skin: The Dumbest Oscar Win of All Time’ has been deleted by YouTube and my channel has been issued with a copyright strike. This was done at the request of Skin’s director, Guy Nattiv. This is the clearest case of censorship I have ever experienced. Nattiv has deliberately abused YouTube’s copyright system to shut down legitimate criticism of his film. In addition, in an act of personal vengeance, he issued a copyright strike against this channel. He could have issued a takedown request, a copyright claim or blocked the video, instead, he insisted on a strike.
Unlike Nattiv, I believe in free and open debate and criticism, therefore I have contacted him on X and encourage him defend his ‘art’, rather than shut down his critics.
