Animation Compendia commemorates the production, publicity and legacy of American theatrical animated feature films.
Originally created in 2014 as the Disney Animation Resource Channel, our goal was to highlight video content from our collection and from other users. While our past channel focused mainly on films from Disney and Pixar, this channel will continue to recognize those films along with films from other American animation studios that played a role in inspiring today's generation of artists and storytellers.
In 2021, we joined the growing movement to collect and preserve 35mm trailers of animated films. These reels, previously shown in movie theaters, are starting to deteriorate as they age. With the help of professional film scanning services, we have shared these trailers on our channel so they can be enjoyed again for future generations.

We apologize in advance for the quality of tomorrow's 4K trailer scan. We didn't know the reel had emulsion marks throughout the first 30 seconds. Just know that the presentation of this reel doesn't reflect on the talents and skills of Kineko Video. They're still the best.
Despite the quality of the reel, we still wanted to publish this trailer in 4K. The highest quality we can find on YouTube is in 480p. We hope another YouTube channel can upload a better version of the trailer. Until then, we hope you will enjoy our scan for now.

It's a brand new month, and we have some channel updates for y'all:
1. We will be publishing playlists for the 2009 animated films later this month. Just know that after the 2009 films, we are going to take a break on making new playlists for awhile.
2. Starting this month, we will be how our trailers will appear. We will publish the trailers in their original aspect ratio unless it is a hard matted print or SCOPE trailer. Only Patreon VIP Members will be able to watch open-matte trailers in their RAW scans.
3. Our next trailer scan will be published on November 8th. It is the theatrical trailer for the 1994 animated/live-action film The Pagemaster. Special Thanks to Kineko Video for their scanning and restoration services.

Happy October! We have some exciting updates to share with you for this month:
We will have new playlists this month for the animated films that came out in 2008 like Kung Fu Panda, Horton Hears a Who, The Tale of Despereaux and more.
We are currently working on getting our "Once Upon a Mouse" video ready for December. We plan on releasing a restored version on Archive.org (due to YouTube's copyright policies) and the original RAW scan on our Patreon page.
Finally, we have an "October Surprise" for our followers. We have a 4K trailer scan that will be released on both YouTube and Patreon on 10/11. We won't tell you what the title is, but we believe many of our followers will really enjoy this upload.
And to Cody Bitto: You will have to "Waiting And Be Patience For Walt Disney's Make Mine Music Original 1946 Theatrical Trailer... And Walt Disney's Peter Pan Original 1953 Theatrical Trailer... From Animation Compendia At YouTube.com!" You won't see either of them this month, next month, or any time next year. If we ever do find any of them, they will be exclusive to our Patreon VIP Tier subscribers only. It's the end of August and the beginning of September. The year is almost over, and we got some special projects currently in the works. Here's what is coming in September:
Throughout this month, we will be adding new playlists for animated films released in 2007. Not as many as the previous year, but there are some good ones in the mix.
There is no poll to vote for next month's video. Instead, our friends at J&M Film Resins (who previously provided us the Sword in the Stone 1963 Trailer) found a very rare Disney trailer from Europe and offered us the chance to scan it in 4K. Any guesses what it might be?
September 30th will be the last day to join our current Patreon drive. Those who join our VIP Tier by September 30th and make six continuous monthly contributions will be able to enjoy the rare 1983 reissue trailer for Disney's Snow White.
Finally, our next upload will be published on YouTube on Friday, September 27. As voted by our followers, it is the 4K scan of the theatrical trailer for the 1987 reissue of Walt Disney's Cinderella. Special Thanks to @KinekoVideo for their scanning and restoration services.
