GOD’S WAY: THE DAUGHTERS OF ZELOPHEHAD 💗
What if the child you are calling “not enough” is actually a blessing you have not learned to see?
Some parents receive daughters and quietly wish for a son.
“After all these girls, when will God give me a boy?”
And sometimes, without realizing it, we make our daughters feel like they were God’s second choice.
But then we open the Bible and meet five daughters—Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
Their father died without a son.
Yet these girls did not disappear from God’s story.
They stood before Moses and presented their case. Moses brought it before the Lord—and God Himself responded.
God did not say, “They are only daughters.”
He listened to them.
He recognized their place.
He established their inheritance.
These daughters mattered.
📖 Numbers 27:1–11
Dear parent, if God has blessed you with daughters, please don't let your disappointment over not having a son rob you of the joy of the daughters He placed in your arms.
A daughter is not a consolation prize.
She is not “the child before the real child.”
She is God's creation. She is precious. She is capable of purpose. She is a blessing.
Look at your daughter again.
Maybe the blessing you keep asking God to give you is already sitting at your table, calling you “Mummy” or “Daddy.”
Celebrate your daughters. Speak life into them. Raise them to know that they matter to God.
Because in God’s way, THE GIRL CHILD MATTERS. 💗
