Since my school days, I have always been involved in things outside of academics — drawing competitions, dance performances, and organizing annual functions. But I always maintained my grades. This became the norm for me throughout my college years. I started my YouTube channel while pursuing engineering, maintaining my 9+ CGPA, creating content regularly, and traveling for more than 2 hours every day.

How?
The good old #todolist.
Do I make very extensive to-do lists? Absolutely.
Do I complete everything on them? No.
But has the list helped me stay sane and stick to the path I’ve designed for myself? A big YES.

The fancy apps and color-coded planners didn’t work for me, and honestly, they didn’t have enough space for me to actually write my tasks. Handwritten lists, though sometimes super messy to the point where I’d have a hard time understanding them the next day, have helped me out.

Out of the entire list, I pick the 3 most important tasks — the ones that, if not done today, would be a huge problem for me. And the most important part: I give myself a very specific timeframe to complete the task. This compels me to get the job done within that time frame, leaving me with space to do other things!

In college, you must have noticed every cool senior talking about their cloud certifications and how they deploy projects on the cloud (before blockchain, and now, of course, AI). That got me curious.

And when #CloudComputing became a compulsory subject in my 3rd year, I thought—this is my chance to finally understand it!
Or so I thought.

My professor didn’t have a clear answer to questions like:

Like many of my classmates, I pushed the "understanding cloud" to some other day.

I have always wanted to donate blood, but for some reason, I couldn't do so during a blood donation camp at my company campus. So, a few weeks ago, I decided to drive 10 km in the Mumbai heat to donate blood.

Why did I go out of my way? Because I learned that this blood bank supports patients suffering from thalassemia.

Thalassemia is a serious issue in India, with over 10,000 children born with the condition every year. Sadly, 50% don’t survive past 20 due to lack of treatment, poverty, and inadequate healthcare infrastructure. β-thalassemia patients require blood transfusions every 3–4 weeks—every three weeks for adults and four weeks for children.

Currently, India needs 4.5 million units of blood annually for 150,000 patients, and this demand is expected to rise to 8.25 million units for 275,000 patients by 2026.

This post isn’t to boast but to raise awareness of this critical issue. Many thalassemia patients still struggle to receive proper treatment due to blood shortages and limited resources. It’s time we step up and make a difference.

A few months ago, I saw one of my college mates post about earning a LinkedIn badge. I was very curious and on checking the criteria, got to know that contributing to the collaborative articles is how we can earn this badge. For the past two years, I have been making my own Ganpati idol using natural, biodegradable mud - a small step toward reducing the environmental impact of the festival and promoting sustainable celebrations. This was the first time I painted the idol and the peace and calm this entire process has brought me is immeasurable.

The visarjan was performed in a bucket of water and this holy water will be used to water the plants around my building complex.

The decoration around the pandal was done avoiding the use thermacol or any other non-biodegradable materials because of the harm these decorations cause to Mother Nature post celebration.

After the 2022 Ganesh Chaturthi, over 2,000 tons of waste, much of it non-biodegradable, was reported in Mumbai alone. As Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated worldwide, it’s our responsibility to ensure that our beloved Bappa leaves for home with a happy smile, seeing us all being environmentally conscious.
