Welcome to my wildlife adventures, follow me as I learn all about wildlife, as I get out with my camera to photograph the wild side of the UK

My plan is to get out at least once a week and create a video of my travels around the UK as I document my wildlife photography and adventures.

My name is Ashley Barnard and I am a full-time professional photographer based in Lancashire UK on the Fylde coast.

I have been a professional photographer for around 15 years, and have recently started with wildlife photography, here on my YouTube channel you can follow me as I dive into this minefield of wild birds and animals learning their names, identifying them, and learning the calls of the wild.

So please feel free to like and subscribe and follow me on my journey into the world of wildlife photography.

Hi everyone I know it's been a while since I've posted a video, but don't worry it's not throigh lack of trying, I've been out several times and have just not been able to manage to put something together, either the weather is played a factor or there has just be no wildlife, and I've just gone to the wrong place and there's nothing there.

But I'm working on a couple of videos, and hopefully going out tonight to record the final section to my next video, which I have been trying to do for the last week and a half.
So yeah it's not easy at the moment going out and photographing the wildlife, especially when it's actually out in the wild rather than visiting a hide, I really dont want to visit a hide just to do a video, because that's going to cost me ยฃ100 just to put a video up of something that i have perhaps already done or you have seen before.

So I do hope to have something up soon everyone, and thanks for sticking with me.

Had a great night over at the Den Hide with Yorkshire photography hides yesterday, photographing the Foxes, with Storm Florence passing through it did put the foxes off a bit, but as the wind dropped, they eventually came in and I managed to get some great video clips and photos for the next Video coming this week.

Well, finally, I managed to spend a day, literally 14 hours, photographing the long-eared owls yesterday. I started this project back in December, January of this year, I had previously been out four times before and only once having a brief encounter. Still, today I managed to spend a good two to three hours in the morning and a short 10 minutes at around 9 p.m. last night with a juvenile and a female adult, looking forward to putting the video together this week.

In this Friday's video, I head down south to Rutland Waterย Nature Reserve to spend the day there and also visit the Global Bird Fair. So join me on Friday from 4 p.m.ย As I photographed some wonderful ospreys, I finally managed to capture my first Bittern. Thenย follow me around the global bird fair,ย where I get to meet Phil Gould from Wildlife Dreams, spend a little time in the Canon tent, and watch the ringing of aย grasshopper warbler.

Well, what a couple of days I had at Bempton Cliffs, I was there primarily to run a workshop for a couple from Spain. My intention was not to go to Bempton Cliffs this year; however, I had to run the workshop, so I took the opportunity to spend a couple of days photographing some wonderful seabirds.

We had such a strong North Eastly wind that the puffins, gannets and razorbills absolutely enjoyed gliding on the wind, so this Friday be sure to check out my Bempton Cliffs video to watch the seabirds dancing on the wind.

Just had a great weekend down at the Global Birdfair, spending the Friday down along Rutland Water photographing some wildlife. With up to 5 Osprey on one nest at the Lyndon site and a surprise Bittern flying out of the reeds at the Anglian Water Centre, and a great shot of a sedge Warbler in the reeds also, I have to say it was a successful weekend. Video coming soon, but still another two videos to put out before this one :)

Well, you're probably sick and tired of everyone posting videos of Puffins on YouTube, going to Skomer and Lunga and everywhere else doing their vlogs, anyway, here's one more ๐Ÿ˜€ airs this evening around 5:00 p.m. on my quick trip to Skomer Island when most of the puffins were out at sea. t.co/J8cmT2I7xr

So, it may have been a week or two since I posted my last video. Still, I am working on the next one. I've been so busy photographing wildlife and running workshops, and today I'm off to Sicily to photograph some wildlife over there, predominantly the birds, but as you can see from the image below, the Estonia video is in production. I do hope to try and get that out to you by the following weekend of the 9th of April, soย hang in there, guys. the next video is coming soon.
