🌌 Core of the Milky Way Galaxy

The central region of the Milky Way, known as the Galactic Center, is located approximately 26,700 light-years from Earth in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius.

This region contains extreme astrophysical phenomena governed by intense gravitational, magnetic, and radiative environments.

Tonight, look up and witness a mesmerizing dance in the night sky! On 2nd November 2025, the Moon glides just 3 degrees away from Saturn — a sight to dazzle stargazers across India.

Through drifting clouds, the Moon’s silvery glow casts a halo around Saturn’s steady golden shimmer, a cosmic pairing visible to the naked eye and even more dramatic through a telescope or camera lens.

This rare moment is a gentle reminder of how vibrant and dynamic our sky remains, even with city lights and daily noise below.

C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) is a non-periodic (long-period) comet with an inbound orbital period of roughly ~1,150–1,350 years, so this is a rare visitor to the inner solar system — many people will only see it once in their lifetimes.

Best viewing window: late October 2025, peaking around closest approach ~21 October 2025 and best through early November (perihelion 8 Nov 2025).

When to look (general): look after sunset in the western–northwestern sky, roughly 30–90 minutes after sunset on nights around Oct 18–25, 2025 — the comet will be an evening object (solar elongation ≈ 42° at closest approach).

Where in the sky (constellations / nearby stars): in mid-October it moves through Lynx / toward Cor Caroli (Canes Venatici) and by late October/early November travels into Leo Minor → Ursa Major region (it passes within ~1° of Cor Caroli around 16 Oct).

The Eclipse Story 🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔

Witnessed the most incredible blood moon on September 7th!

Mother Nature put on quite the show when Earth decided to play cosmic hide-and-seek with the Sun and Moon. Instead of going dark, our Moon turned this gorgeous deep red color that had everyone looking up in amazement.

Here's the cool part - it's all about how our atmosphere works like a giant filter! All those tiny particles in our air scatter away the blue light (that's why our sky is blue during the day), but the red light bends around Earth and lights up the Moon. Same reason sunsets look so orange and red!
