The thumbnail odyssey of a small creator

I still try to learn how to package my content. A title + thumbnail need to work together. And today I realised I have lots to learn.

A good-looking thumbnail is not a enough. It has to do more:

Clear message (simple), don’t explain, and working at small size. I tested 3 of them, set the winner, and was happy. But as time went on it showed clearly. I only got a very low click-through-rate. (Impressions were high and my CTR was way below 2% average.)

That send me on a journey. Within a week I made 5 thumbnails.

And I feel like, I missed my shot by over-thinking and over-explaining in the first 4 thumbnails, but I am pretty happy with my current fifth thumbnail - it is simple, doesn’t explain, keeps expectations low (in terms of video-editing quality) and it fits the niche.

I don’t know if the video can come back from the graveyard, but I hope so.

No stream tomorrow (& the near future). :(

Due to my current health situation (hospitalised twice within 2 weeks, never before that), I made the decision to fully focus on giving my body the time to rest and heal.

I really miss streaming. I miss chatting with you on stream, but health is more important.

I am currently dealing with a nasty stomach issue (was hospitalised Thursday night), so I am not 100% sure, if the stream planned for tomorrow is going to happen, but I wanted to share my completion % progress since January. The insight I got from analysing the numbers made me realise something very important: How much growth did happen with nearly 600 earned trophies? How does PSNProfiles calculate our completion %? Why is my progress so slow compared to others? These and more answers I will share in the upcoming video.

Maybe this video will get the channel to 2,000 subscribers? (2 to go)
