Karnataka strengthens Aadhaar security infrastructure

The Karnataka Government is upgrading its Aadhaar authentication security system to enhance cyber security, improve reliability, and ensure uninterrupted digital public services.

📌 The Hardware Security Module (HSM), which secures Aadhaar authentication across government departments, processes nearly 10–12 lakh authentication requests every day.

🛠️ The maintenance and security upgrade will take place from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on July 31, August 1, and August 2, with minimal impact on citizen services.

IT & BT Minister Priyank Kharge said the upgrade will include the latest security patches, bug fixes, and system enhancements to build a more secure and resilient digital governance ecosystem.

Honouring the Heroes of Kargil

On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Headquarters Training Command of the Indian Air Force in Bengaluru paid heartfelt tribute to the brave warriors who laid down their lives in defence of the nation.

Air Marshal S. Shrinivas, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command, led the wreath-laying ceremony at the HQ Training Command War Memorial. Senior officers of the Indian Air Force, along with personnel from the Indian Army and Indian Navy, joined in honouring the fallen heroes.

The ceremony included a Guard of Honour, the solemn "Last Post" by buglers, and a two-minute silence in remembrance of the Brave Hearts.

Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the nation will forever inspire generations.

Chennamma Cremated with Full State Honours in Hassan

The last rites of Chennamma, wife of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, were performed with full state honours on Monday at Mavinakere, Holenarasipura, in Karnataka's Hassan district.

Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar paid his final respects and presented the National Flag to H.D. Deve Gowda as part of the state honours. He also bowed before the former Prime Minister as a mark of respect. The Tricolour was later handed over to Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy.

Several political leaders, dignitaries, family members, and well-wishers attended the funeral to pay their final respects to Chennamma.
