Hi everyone,

Quick update about the VIP Club for members. 06.02.26

I’m removing the VIP Club perks from Facebook because I am not willing to put my time and effort into it anymore on that platform.

Facebook flagged my account as “bot behaviour” and temporarily banned it. I had to prove I wasn’t a bot to get it back.

The irony is it seems to have been triggered by a welcome post that Facebook auto-generated on my behalf in the Aquarium Shrimp Keeping group called admin assist, and then their own system flagged it as automation. So it flagged itself. 🤣

This banning removed me from my own group and removed everything I have done setting it up.

So that was the final straw for me. 👍

On top of that, Facebook heavily throttles YouTube links.
For example If I share a YouTube video it can get around 30 views, but a shrimp photo it can get 3,000. This kind of pettiness is well-known with Facebook.

Facebook doesn’t want users leaving their platform to go to YouTube. Meanwhile, YouTube has absolutely no problem with people sharing links the other way.

That’s not acceptable to me as a YouTuber, so I’m stepping away from relying on Facebook.

The main Facebook group, Aquarium Shrimp Keeping, will still be available as normal if you want to use it.
