tu quoque is a valid argument actually, tho depending on its' purpose.
if one were to try persuade me to not vote for Le Pen because she misused EU funds, it is a little of an argument if all other candidates had continuously been doing the exact same thing aswell; in fact, some of the french establishment refused to condemn her action because that would delegitimize themselves too. that's either a stalemate or a bidding game. this undermines the reputation of Le Pen, but doesn't affect my decision, since in this case there is no alternative but to boycott the elections, which I reject.
tu quoque doesn't unburden nor justify a side, but it is a valid defense by exposing the duplicity of others - and when I make a choice, I want to have the intel to make the best choice out of all possibilities. and if the choice is good highly relates to the situation

‪@common-union-yt‬ only by organization and unity of the proletariat and middle class can exploitation stop. capitalists also know it, that's why they divide to rule - they did it with the left post-ww2, they did it with the left post Reagan-Thatcher era - that's also what woke agenda is about, distracting the masses from proprietary and economic question. Marx and Lenin warned about this false identity policy; cultural revolution doesn't topple the fundamentals of the system, furthermore - it strenghtens the rule of big capital. so far the new left has advocated for right of the individual to revolt against everyone else, that logically leads to social atomization - which means the proletarian individual has no leverage against the bourgeois individual. simultaneously, the new left forgot almost completely about class struggle, only trade unions seem to take this problem seriously. postmodernist left is used instrumentally by the capitalist base to change superconstruction, so that no greater force questions the fundamentals. and superconstruction serves the base - big companies want individuals who have no roots, no relations, no traditions, no duties and no rules other than duties directed by business and rules of the free market, because such individuals are ideal servants to capitalists. libertinism and permissivism is promoted by big capital for a reason. that's why we need a united worker front against the liberal establishment, and this front requires to not be divided over non-fundamental issues. the core values of the left should be organic democracy and solidarity, grassroots organization of workplaces, subordination of the capital to the national interests, and establishment of communal society. nationalists are absolutely welcome as long as they agree to those terms, that's why the left has to win the nationalists over from the right, we have to socialize the nationalist thought. first nationalists (and democrats) were the jacobins for a reason. fascism, falangism and national syndicalism can be and are doctrines based on social justice aswell. social democracy and, in Europe, christian democracy has to stop being merely a popular wing of the establishment and become democratic again. the left can win only by reconcilement of the social forces in fight for common good, not particular interests. otherwise we will stay dominated by liberalism, as history has already shown

Shays' Rebellion shows that the American Revolution was to lower the taxes for the rich but raise them for the poor. the capital simply stayed in pockets of Boston elites, it wasn't distributed across the society. furthermore, settler merchants pressured poor farmers and peasants, leading them to debt and imprisonment.
the US Constitution that followed the rebellion was supposed first and foremost to restrain political power of the demos. the Founding Fathers themselves believed the Articles of Confederation allowed too much democratic freedom and had to be replaced by the Constitution - salvation to the proprietary social order that kept the elites strong.
framers of the Constitution believed it's to prevent both tyranny from above and tyranny from below. what they meant by tyranny from below is really just genuine democracy.
if you're a democrat, you have to understand one thing: the liberal two-centuries-long establishment hates you
