To those of you who ask about my welfare then let me just say, I'm doing well and thank you for asking. I know this channel hasn't seen much in the way of uploads for the past year(s), but it is not dead and I may well upload content sometime in the future albeit, as a 70 year old, I have a lot of things to do and my main aim nowadays is keeping fit and healthy and is why I upload to a separate channel. Anyone interested in fitness for seniors and not only could take a peak over there and see if it floats your boat or not. Many thanks, Robert.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you all that our senior Dog Wally who came here to Bulgaria from the streets of Moscow passed into the afterlife on 02 Oct. 23. He was a fighter, a lover, a rebel and quite often a piece of shit, but we loved him to bits as he did us. There is no such thing as 'just a dog', they all have characters, some better than others. This boy is going to be missed.

This is known as the Gibbet Aures Campfire Crane. The crane is named after Victor Aures, a Scout Master from Buffalo, NY. There is a good article on this from an issue of the Boy’s Life from 1915. The system is also depicted in Horace Kephart's Book Camp-lore and Woodcraft. I got my first sight of it on George Aitchison's BLOG 'Bushcraft Days' back in 2015 where he has a detailed step by step guide with pictures. I never got around to editing the footage as I made a gate the same way, but now Felix Immler has uploaded his version and already has 15k+ views, I would be lucky to get 250. 🤦‍♂️😉👍😜😏😁👀
