This morning the girls and I packed bags and brought food to 150 people in an area of our barangay where people are in need.

P.S. I was reminded of this old starfish story this morning. Because, the amount of people in need here is overwhelming. And, there's so many people, that it would be really easy to think it was all just a big a waste of time.
The Starfish Story
One day a man was walking along a beach covered with thousands of starfish that had washed ashore after a storm. In the distance he saw a boy bending down, picking up starfish and throwing them gently back into the sea.
The man approached and asked, “What are you doing?”
The boy replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. If they don’t get back in the water before the sun gets hot, they’ll die.”
The man said, “But there are so many starfish — you can’t possibly help them all. What difference can you make?”
The boy bent down, picked up another starfish, threw it into the sea, and said, “It made a difference to that one.”
