I was scrolling down my social media posts and found my favourite post of 2022:

Social media is just a highlight reel. It’s not the whole story.

And I’m guilty of this too, so let me fix that. Here are my 6 biggest failures in 2022.

👉 Didn’t travel abroad from January to November in 2022.

✅ Continuing to make progress with my work/life balance. Typing this from Thailand.

👉 A course launched this year received 40% lower than forecasted revenue.

✅ Learned. Pivoted.

👉 Received an unexpectedly large tax bill so had to scramble to liquidate cash to pay it.

✅ Rookie error. Bigger cash reserves and improved forecasting.

👉 Messed my back up for 2 months which threw off my gym routine and healthy eating.

✅ Now have a standing desk in my office! And stretch for 10 minutes before every workout.

👉 Lost I’ve no idea how much in stocks and shares and crypto.

✅ Still continuing to buy and hold. Dollar-cost averaging all the way.

👉 Three of our biggest revenue streams fell by more than 50% in June.

✅ Restructured and streamlined the company resulting in record profits from Oct-Dec.

If we’re not failing, we’re not trying hard enough.

Here’s to more failures in 2023 🍻

So…I don’t usually make posts like this.

As some of you know, I adopted Ollie a couple of months ago.

He’s been amazing - easily one of the best decisions I’ve ever made (after literally 10+ years of contemplating adopting).

He used to be a stray, walking the streets with a severe skin infection, but he was rescued and treated by the volunteers at Laws for Paws.

He still has some small bald patches, but he’s now 100% infection-free 🥰

It’s sad to think that if it wasn’t for the volunteers at Laws for Paws, Ollie would still be homeless, or maybe even worse.

But this is just one case.

Laws for Paws has saved the lives of hundreds of dogs.

Some were saved from slaughterhouses, and others were saved after being left abandoned on the street after their family no longer wanted them.

However, recently Laws for Paws went through an unexpected event when relocating their shelter, leaving them $5000 in debt from vet bills.

I’ve donated myself, and now I’m asking if anyone else has some spare cash to donate to help the charity that quite possibly saved Ollie’s life.
