James Gunn says DCU games are moving again: "There's one thing in particular I'm excited about, but it does take time." He says a couple of smaller DC games are in the works and a larger project is in early planning. The plan is still for DCU actors to carry over into games, with a good chance David Corenswet voices Superman, but the first DCU game is still a couple years out.

Gunn points to recent changes at WB Games as part of the slowdown, following the cancellations and studio closures earlier this year, including Monolith, Player First Games, and WB San Diego, plus the Wonder Woman project being shelved.

Footage from the canceled Damian Wayne game, codenamed Project Sabbath, has surfaced online. It shows Batman chasing Killer Croc on bikes in a cinematic slow-motion sequence. The clip was created by WB Games Montréal artist Steve Bouliane during the early development of what would later become Gotham Knights.

The video uses repurposed 3D models from Arkham Origins and was meant to test cape physics, bike movement on rough terrain, and the visual impact of slow motion in action scenes. While this version of the game was eventually scrapped, elements like the Batcycle and cinematic flair carried over into the final Gotham Knights release.
