Today is the anniversary of the final stop in the Winter Dance Party tour of the Midwest in 1959. After leaving the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens boarded a small plane and took off to meet a grim fate minutes later. Join me as I discuss this tragic night and visit the memorial site North of Clear Lake with family.

So this thing blew up for me... It was sitting around 1,000 views for it's first seven months and then in the last 6-7 days it's popped off to over 6,100 views.
