I'm David and I am based in the North West of England where I have my small home workshop, restoring and refinishing Vintage Furniture.
I have always loved DIY, crafting, building, fixing and restoring things so I started my business, Mayfield Restorations, where i can follow my passion. My goal is to find old, worn out and unloved pieces of furniture and by either restoring or restyling them, give them a new life for many years to come.
I source through, Marketplace, thrift shops and wherever I can find these forgotten pieces of furniture
Everything you see me do is self taught and Youtube has been a large part of this process. My aim for this channel is to pass along what I have learnt and I am still learning.

Hi folks. Just wanted to share with you some exciting news! I've got another Challenge video coming up this weekend and this is a big one. Hi lovely people. We're back with another video!!! This one was a MASSIVE challenge for me, mainly because i was asked to make something from scratch!!! My friend has a cool bar here in the UK and he is setting up a seating area in the style of the Iconic Sitcom "Friends". In particular the "Central Perk" coffee shop scenes. He asked me if i would make him a replica of the specific coffee table that features. I'll be honest, I didn't even know what the table looked like but I did some research and I said YES! I enjoyed doing it but I'm going to stick to RESTORATIONS in the future, BUT it did give me even more respect for the craftsmen and women that originally made the furniture i now Restore. Come along with Daisy & I to see how i did in replicating this Famous table and experience some of the many issues i had along the way. 🤣🐶❤️

Hi folks. I just wanted to let you know that I'm off on my holidays (Vacation) next week but I've got a video lined up for you all to watch whilst I'm away. It will be ready for you all on Saturday 20th Sep @ 7.00PM UK time. I loved doing this one and I'm keeping the piece for myself I liked it that much.
