I started a podcast at 50, and that is just the beginning of the rest of my life! What's holding you back, or... what do you think is holding you back because of your age? That's what I'm talking about on today's episode. Let me know what you're doing, regardless of your age.

Episode 66 is LIVE, and we have Chief Empowerment Officer (also an empowerment and tactical coach), Beverly Dines. Her social media blew up last year, and when you hear her tips and advice, you'll see why. I had a great time talking with Beverly. We talked about what is going on behind the scenes in corporate, how to play their games (or NOT), and what pivoting can really look like when you're unsure. She was also very open about her complexion playing a role in her success at such a young age. She held nothing back!

It's a long one, so put this on while you're cooking or driving. I think you'll enjoy it.

I've been watching Dr. Natalie Jones on TikTok for a while, and I've really enjoyed her stories. But one of the reasons I love her for the podcast is that she gives you the real on being safe as a woman. Both physically and emotionally. Make sure you watch how she breaks down narcissism and how to deal with it as a a Black woman.

I've gotten flak for being the only one in primarily white spaces my entire life! There are some pros and cons, but it was what it was. Today I talked with friend of the pod, Tracie Walker, about our experiences growing up going to primarily white institutions. Interesting discussion. Different experiences. But necessary for many of us who have been there, who plan to send our children there, or who already have children in all-white schools.

We are back with new episodes! Today we're talking about code-switching and why you might be looking at it completely wrong. Executive coach Ashley Morgan returns to have this conversation. And it's a good one. Do you code-switch? Do you feel like code-switching is a betrayal of your Blackness? Or do you see it as a strategic mechanism to get the end result you desire? There's no right or wrong answer. Just conversation. Make sure you check out this episode and tell me what you think!

My body has been talking to me for years! And the crazy thing is, it wasn't until I was in my 40s that I realized what it was trying to say to me. How those little pains and aches would come on when stress was afoot. Many times I think I'm fine, and then I'll get a chest ache letting me know I'm holding onto something.

This has come up a lot on the podcast, not just from casual discussions, but the research supports it. In our final Summer Rewind Series, we visit some of these conversations. Not to scare you, but to help bring awareness. Your body often knows before your head.

Check it out, Black Women. Listen to your body!
