It’s not done don’t judge yet 😅 I’ll be making a fun weekend build type of video where I show you how to make your own DIY glowing Make lamp (or write whatever you want). I wanted my logo on a wall, and decided to make a Make lamp as well. Both of these are not finished yet, but it’s looking pretty. Stay tuned 😎

My wife and I have been spending almost all our free time building up an inventory of Micro Racers. I have to say, I am tired, but I have never felt so fulfilled in my life! I went a bit crazy here (but there is a good reason) and built all the pre-orders right here in my home lab. Even the PCB assembly. We are almost done with batch two (ships October 30th) and I cannot wait to finally be in stock instead of at the StuckAtPrototype stage ;) Thanks all of you for the crazy amounts of support!

This never gets old. I love watching the boards come to life. If you really think about it, it’s basically a bunch of wires connecting a bunch of silicon…. And yet, when you apply electricity it becomes alive as if by magic. That’s what I find fascinating about embedded systems and microcontrollers. It’s literally a piece of my imagination living on a PCB doing what I imagined for it to do. It’s the greatest feeling ever. And even better, soon these will end up in the hands of other people. They will be able to experience a piece of my imagination. Now that’s a feeling I can’t even find words for, but I know I am excited.

I just got the test PCB panels for my Micro Racer project. This will allow me to assemble multiple units at once. I can’t wait to start the actual production. The pre-sale ends September 15th. I recently upgraded my 3D printer for the production run and I am shocked how far the technology has come in just a few years. The prints look insanely amazing compared to my old printer and it prints 6x faster than my old one! I’m starting to print the plastics for the Micro Racers. It’s going to take about 20 days of printing to fulfill all the current preorders! 🤯
