🔥 Plot Heads!!! Major update on the next video and a NEW Poll! 🚨
First off, I want to give you all a BIG thank you! The response to the last video has been incredible. And if you are new to the channel, welcome! I’m really glad you’re part of this.
Because so many of you came out for that conversation, I think this is the right time for a question I’ve been sitting with for a while:
👉 When did villains become more interesting than heroes?
Maybe you've noticed it too, so this Saturday, we’re digging into what happened to heroes, why villains started stealing the spotlight, and what makes a hero actually feel worth following.
📊 Now it's time for another poll!
For anyone new here, we do character breakdowns on Plot Luck based on your suggestions and votes. Usually we vote on specific characters, but this time I want to zoom out first.
❓What kind of character breakdown should we do next?❓
Whichever category wins, we’ll do a follow-up poll with specific characters from that group. Feel free to drop character suggestions in the comments as well.
As always, thank you for building this channel and community with me!

🚨 Plot Heads!!! New video drops TOMORROW at 3pm PT / 6pm ET.
Okay so... this is a big one!
What started as a question I couldn't stop thinking about turned into one of the most personal videos I've made for this channel.
👉 Why do we actually care about fictional characters?
We KNOW they're not real. And we still cry for them. We still grieve them. We still think about them years later like they were people we actually knew.
So tomorrow we are exploring:
🔵 Why "make them relatable" is quietly one of the most damaging notes in storytelling
🔵 The five moments that build genuine emotional connection with an audience
🔵 And what it really means when losing a fictional character feels like losing someone real
Dropping at 3pm PT tomorrow. A little later than usual but I think it'll be worth the wait.
🙏 Thank you for being here. Genuinely. See you tomorrow!
Don't forget to stir the plot!

🔥 Plot Heads!!! Big update on the next video! 🚨
So I’ll be honest… this next video was not exactly the one I thought I was making.
After talking about redemption arcs, corruption arcs, and the different ways characters change, I was originally circling a few other ideas. Identity arcs. Character behavior. Some deeper stuff about how characters move through a story.
But the more I sat with it, the more I kept coming back to a much bigger question.
👉 Why do we care about them in the first place?
Because we know they’re not real. And yet we still cry for them. We still root for them. We still argue about them.
And as I started pulling on that thread, this video kind of took over.
✍️ So this Saturday, we’re talking about how stories make us care about characters and about the actual moments where an audience starts to feel something.
This one really called to me, and I’m excited to share it with you.
🙏 As always, thank you for building this channel and community with me.

🚨 Plot Heads!!! New video drops TOMORROW at 3pm PT / 6pm ET.
We've spent this whole chapter building characters from the inside out. Their history. Their wounds. Their boundaries. What it takes to redeem them.
But what about the ones who don't come back?
Tomorrow we go the other direction. The fall. The descent. And the five circles every great corruption arc passes through on the way down.
🔵 We're breaking down the Five Circles of Hell -- the framework underneath every great corruption arc so that you keep audiences emotionally invested.
🔵 We're running Michael Corleone through all five circles -- and honestly, he might be one of the most precisely constructed corruption arcs ever put to screen.
🔵 And then we are building a corruption arc character from scratch, so you can see exactly how to apply this to your own characters.
🚨It's dropping a little later than usual tomorrow (three videos in one week will do that)! But it's coming and I think you're going to love it.
🙏 As always, thank you! Genuinely. For showing up, for engaging, for building this community with me. It means more than I can say.
See you tomorrow and don't forget to stir the plot!

🚨 Plot Heads! The Catra bonus video drops TOMORROW at 3pm PT / 6pm ET!
🐱 She may have lost the poll, but the passion you all brought for this character was something I just couldn't ignore. The comments, the replies, the arguments you made... this community showed up in a way that genuinely moved me. So this one is for those of you who brought that energy!
And honestly? This breakdown went somewhere really special. We dig into why Catra resonates so deeply with people and what her chain reveals about how to write internal conflict that actually lands. If you want to understand what it looks like when a character's survival strategy is at war with their own nature, this one is for you.
📢 This Saturday we also pivot to Corruption Arcs! The complete flip side of redemption. How to orchestrate the fall of a character and make every step feel inevitable. Cannot wait for that one!
👀 We have a lot more exciting things on the way (more polls, identity arcs, character chemistry, dialogue and more).
❤️ As always, thank you all for building this channel and community with me.

🔥 Plot Heads! You voted. Enji Todoroki. Endeavor. Dropping tomorrow at 8am PT 🔥
I'll be honest. When the poll results came in, I knew this one was going to be a different kind of challenge. Not because Endeavor is hard to understand. Because he isn't. The record is clear. The Quirk marriage. What he did to Rei. What he built Toya into.
👉 But here's my claim and I'm standing on it: Endeavor might have one of the best redemption arcs ever written. In anime. In fiction. Period.
Running him through the Character Chain forced me to really sit with something I don't think gets talked about enough. Most redemption arcs build toward a finish line. Endeavor never gets that. And that's what makes this one really valuable for writers.
🚨 🐱 And surprise! The Catra campaign was impossible to ignore. The passion and outpouring of love from this community to get her covered was genuinely overwhelming. So I wanted to reward that energy with a bonus video. Catra is coming soon and she has a lot to say about this exact topic.
✍️ After that we are moving into something new. Corruption arcs. The opposite side of redemption! I will have a new poll for you soon to help find a corruption arc character to explore deeper.
🙏 As always, thank you for building this channel and community with me.

Plot Heads!!! We have some news! 🚨
First off, thank you for all the love on the latest video. And to everyone new here, welcome in! Really glad you’re here.
🔥 Next up: Endeavor. (yeah… his “redemption arc” is a doozy)
He came out strong early, and even with this poll turning into absolute chaos…he’s still right there at the top.
📊 BUT this one got CLOSE.
Jaime made a huge push. Loki and Catra have been battling right behind him. It’s been shifting nonstop.
Which honestly just confirmed something for me…
All of these characters are worth full breakdowns.
So if your pick didn’t land first, don’t worry. We’ll be coming back to them!
✍️ And for what’s next….We’re just getting started! We have:
-More polls.
-More character arcs (corruption, identity)
-More writing topics (character chemistry, ensembles)
and a few things I’m not even announcing yet 🤫
Really excited for you guys to see the Endeavor video this Saturday!
🙏 As always, thank you for building this with me.
And don’t forget to stir the plot.

🚨 Plot Heads!!! New video drops tomorrow at 8am PT.
We've been building characters from the inside out. But here's the question nobody talks about enough:
What happens when a character breaks everything they built...and has to decide who they become on the other side of it?
That's the redemption arc. It may seem straightforward, but there are so many ways that arc can go wrong.
So tomorrow we are fixing that!
🔵 We'll break down the Four Marks of Redemption — the four things every great redemption arc leaves behind. Miss even one and the whole thing collapses.
🔵 And we will also run Darth Vader, Omni-Man, and Bakugo through all four, to show how three completely different characters can walk the same path of redemption and arrive at completely different places.
👀 A sneak peek at what's next! Your poll winner gets the full character breakdown treatment, before we dive into Corruption Arcs. There are so many exciting other topics on the horizon and I can't wait to share more soon!
As always, thank you for building this channel and community with me!

Plot Heads!!!
What’s up next + Character Poll #2
❤️ First off, thank you all for the incredible response to the latest video! And to everyone new here, welcome in. Really happy to have you as part of this community!
🎬 Next video: we’re diving into one of my favorite types of character arcs… redemption.
This is one of the hardest arcs to pull off. You’re asking an audience to go from rejection to understanding, sometimes even empathy, without breaking trust along the way. If that turn isn’t earned, the whole thing falls apart.
📊 Now for the poll: after covering Luffy and Bucky, we’re lining up the next character breakdown.
Staying on theme, this time we’re focusing on characters with very different takes on redemption.
💬 If you don’t see your suggestion yet, don’t worry! I’ve been tracking all of them, and there are way too many great ones not to come back to as we keep building this out.
🙏 As always, thank you for building this channel and community with me.

🚨 Plot Heads!!! New video drops tomorrow at 8am PT.
We’ve spent the last few videos really building out characters from the inside out. But at some point… you have to put that character in motion.
Because building a character is one thing.
Making them actually change?
That’s where stories either come alive… or fall apart.
⚙️ So in this one, I break down a different way of looking at arcs. Not as labels. Not as outcomes. But as pressure.
How plot applies pressure to behavior.
How it challenges interpretation.
How it pushes a character right up against the boundary they swore they would never cross.
🎬 We also get into case studies with Walter White (negative arc), Gru (positive arc), and Captain America (flat arc) to see how radically different arcs can all grow when you apply collision to characters.
❤️ I’m really excited about this one. It feels like a big piece of the larger character conversation we’ve been building together.
See you tomorrow!
And as always… don’t forget to stir the plot.
