One of the projects keeping me from playing Foxhole lately was this "live in-studio" performance video for Worm Ceiling, a punk band from El Paso! https://youtu.be/5RgYHvLjVrE?si=VRMgN... My band shot them with our cell phones outside our old art studio, our drummer mic'd up the band and recorded then mixed the audio, and I edited the whole thing together! The setting was perfect; sunset with mountains and train tracks in the background, which eventually hosted a passing train! Very cool! I learned a lot from this project; especially color grading because all the footage wasn't as well lit as we had planned (and we're not experienced, professional cinematographers)! In the end I think the project came out damn good, especially the audio! The band really brought their game to the performance and ‪@dissonantcognizance‬ captured their sound perfectly! Check it out while waiting for more Foxhole content! I should have a new video up in a few days; I just gotta do a final pass and mess with the audio then it is done! Stick around for that! There is about a terabyte of unedited Foxhole footage from my Twitch VODs that I will probably never get around to editing all of, just sitting on my hard drive, laughing at me! Well, I've started posting it on a playlist! youtube.com/playlist?list=PLy... I found out you can post unlisted videos on a public playlist and it seems like the way to go with that footage for now! If you need a Foxhole fix, this is where you can score from me until I wrap up other projects keeping me away from Foxhole! These old VODs take FOREVER to post! I cut the first few minutes of each video out because they're just "Stream Starting Soon Screens" and that takes 1-2 hours to render the videos. Then it takes like 6 or more hours for Youtube to do it's thing.... so it's a bit of a process but I can have that running in the background of other stuff I'm doing at the computer. Wish I could play more but the artist's life demands sacrifices of time. Ugh!

The last few months have been pretty intense on so many levels and left me with way too little time for Foxhole! A few people have asked me about it so I'll share what's up in this post. Nothing bad has happened to me, there just isn't enough time for everything I want to and need to do; which at the moment is a renewed focus on creating stuff for my band. This is primarily writing new songs and making videos to promote the project! My band is actually the main reason I decided to learn video editing and other filmmaking skills when the pandemic hit and people started learning new skills and stuff! Making Foxhole videos was an effective and endlessly fun way to learn all of this, while also giving me an outlet for everything going on at the time and somewhere I could socialize with people, even if only online in a war simulation, lol
I also recently quit a really shitty restaurant job that killed all of my... everything a creator needs to create; primarily time and energy! I plan to get back to streaming at least once a week and making some quality content out of the VODs for this channel. I know I keep saying that; but I mean it this time, baby! A huge thing to look forward to is that I GOT A NEW VIDEO CARD and a new SSD! So when I do start streaming and making videos again they are going to have better quality video at their core! I'm hella excited about that; my video quality has bothered me for a very long time and I appreciate people sticking around despite that! Thank you, viewers and subscribers!
Also, I have over 600 subs now and counting even though I have been posting less, which is both surprising and very motivating! Some of you have been very supportive of me over the years with encouraging comments, chat sessions, and even very helpful gifts and tools for improving my work on this channel! Please don't think I have left you for good; I just needed a little break to focus on other things like my band, which you should totally check out sometime!
Thanks for being with me on this journey and please stick around for even more and better Foxhole content! I'll be doing this for years to come because I'm obsessive like that! :D
I posted a new video of taking a brand new recruit out to his first battle in Foxhole! While I was resupplying after some QRF, I came across the fresh meat and an Officer Cadet at a backline base. The OCdt asked me to take the recruit to a real fight, so I did that then stuck by his side while he experienced his first taste of the eternal war! Watch how he handled himself and reminisce in times past when you were new to Foxhole yourself!
After too many grueling weeks irl at work, I am finally cutting back to 3 days a week of restaurant hell! This will give me back the time, energy, and most importantly HANDS needed for making art, music, videos, and playing Foxhole! I hope to be streaming and putting out videos somewhat more regularly again... but I've said that before. Life, uh, finds a way to mess up plans!
Anyway, the new video is pretty good! You should watch it, like it, share it, join my cult, and play Foxhole with me sometime!
I haven't been able to play much Foxhole or make many gaming videos the past few months but am hoping to start playing regularly again soon! There are several videos I have in progress, I'm working on them a little at a time when I can find the time! As I'm going through footage, I sometimes find short bits of random coolness that can be posted in between longer, story-type videos. It takes so much longer to edit a 4 hour stream versus editing a 2 or 3 minute clip, lol!

Here are 2 zipped files of copyright/royalty-free music that I use for streams and videos! I downloaded over 10,000 tracks, then put 120-ish at a time into a video that I post privately to Youtube. The YT copyright robots will tell me which tracks are protected, then I remove those from my list and repeat. This has resulted in about 1,000 copyright-free tracks in my collection!
File 1 is entirely old-timey music; jazz, blues, gospel, opera, etc. File 2 has some contemporary jazz, funk, blues, etc. from Youtube's music library, mixed in with some old-time songs.
There might be a few tracks that slipped by my system, as my Twitch VODs occasionally have a muted bit. I'll figure out a way to further clean out the offending tracks! Maybe one day, I can have this collection properly labeled and hosted somewhere for content creators to easily search through and use! There is still a huge pile of well over 10,000 more tracks for me to cleanse of copyright protected recordings: I'll get through it all someday!

I have a day job and several other projects which take up large amounts of time, energy, and resources. It was really stressful and near impossible to maintain a schedule of one video a week and trying to meet that weekly deadline meant several videos went out that I look back on as subpar. Lately, though, some of my videos have been doing really well for this channel and they are videos where I focused more on quality over meeting a deadline. This indicates that I should just be doing that all the time, and so I will!
Anyway, I was really hoping to get my newest video out before Christmas but my family wants me to visit for the holiday and preparing for that means the new video will have to wait. It's going to be a really good one though; totally worth the extra time! I just wanted to try out this new "Community" section of YT, let you know that good content is still coming (just a little less often), and wish you a not-crappy holiday season!

I haven't been able to play much Foxhole or make many gaming videos the past few months but am hoping to start playing regularly again soon!
