Formulating my own feed is the way forward come 2026 as feed brands have refused to reduce the feed prices despite the drastic drop in feed ingredient prices.

One of my goals for my business come 2026 is to formulate my own feed to reduce my cost of production and increase my profit margin and to achieve that, I have to make my own feed.

It cost me less than 15,000 Naira to formulate a bag of broiler starter crumble thereby saving 8,000 Naira on a bag of feed.

Would this be worth it or not? I'll always come back to give you feedback.

Here are the knowledge you need to acquire before you venture into poultry (broiler) farming come 2026.

We have 2 phases of production which are the;
∆ Brooding Phase
∆ Grow out Phase

You have to get knowledge on these two phases and these phases two have different alms of production which are

∆ Pre-stocking
∆ Stocking
∆ Post-stocking
∆ Pre-culling
∆ Culling
∆ Stockmanship

There are different things that goes on under each of these alms of production mentioned above and if you can get knowledge under these 6 alms of production, then you're good to go in your production, you don't need to fear or panic about having a failed production if you follow every teachings

How was it like?

How many production cycle did you run?

And are you able to double or triple your production per cycle. If yes, congratulations. If no, then you're not doing something right.

I'll be going live on Sunday teaching how you can scale your poultry farm (broilers) from your existing production. In a year, you should be able to double or triple your production.

If you start with 50 birds, before the end of the year, you should be able to increase you production to 150 - 250 birds or diversify into other farming like fish farming and the likes
