Hey, all. Jae was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon and rode the storm out at home. This morning, she said it was a wild and windy night, but we only had downed branches, minor property damage, and backyard flooding. Power remained on. I'm grateful that we were so fortunate - the dual stress of her being in the hospital with approaching Milton was intense. Thanks for all your inquiries and prayers, and I hope our Florida friends fared well in this historic storm.
Howdy, all! I'm in Skiatook, Oklahoma, about 2 hours south of Winfield, and I'm stoked that the Walnut Valley Festival has embraced my new tune, "Going To Winfield" as part of their official promotional campaign! Watch for Dulcimerica episodes from the festival this week and next! Has anyone here ever been to the Walnut Valley Festival?
The 1st Annual New England Dulcimer Days is August 9-11 in Dover, Vermont and registration for workshops is closed at this time, BUT, you can still attend the concert on Saturday evening where I'll have the pleasure of sharing featured performer billing with the great Anne Lough. We've never performed together on stage, so I'm hoping we can change that. Visit NEDulcimerdays.com for more details. Also, www.BingFutch.com/shows for info on the 8/17 Alexandria, Virginia MD workshops and concert. I'm looking forward to closing out this big summer tour in a big way!
