Powerful Daily Christian Prayer
Matthew 6:21 (KJV)
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” — Matthew 6:21
Good afternoon, friends. Today, Jesus gives us a powerful question to consider: What has our heart?
The things we value most will always reveal where our heart is. Whatever we spend our time, energy, attention, and devotion on shows what we truly treasure.
Jesus reminds us that the things of this world are temporary. Possessions can fade, success can change, and earthly achievements can come and go. But what we invest in God’s Kingdom has eternal value.
Sometimes our hearts become heavy because we place our hope in things that were never meant to carry us. We look for peace in people, security in money, or fulfillment in accomplishments. But only God can truly satisfy the deepest places of our hearts.
This afternoon, take a moment to examine your heart. Is it focused on fear or faith? Is it consumed by worries or anchored in God’s promises?
When our treasure is in the Lord, our heart begins to align with His will. We start seeking what matters to Him: love, obedience, compassion, forgiveness, and purpose.
Pray this today:
“Lord, help me to place my treasure in things that honor You. Guard my heart from distractions and teach me to desire what brings me closer to You. Let my heart belong fully to You.”
Remember: Whatever has your heart will shape your life. Give your heart to God, and He will guide your steps.
